| Ok, to answer all of you. First off I take my responsibility very seriously. I have been a breeder for a few years. I have done foster and rescue for 10 years. I work with other foster homes and with three vets offices with the rescued dogs who by the way are NOT limited to Yorkies or small breeds. In this case I had no choice but to find homes quickly for some of the dogs. I am moving and it came very suddenly. I was suppose to stay in my 3,800 qf home until we left this area. That did not happen and we were forced to downsize. I was limited to three dogs. My moving date was then pushed up by over a MONTH. I do not appreciate the questions of why did you do this or any of the others. I had no choice in this AND I did take my responsibility very seriously. He was NOT sold for 200.00 any idiot could have taken him home. I contacted one of the vets I work with. Who was working with me on my adults they spayed and neutered. Any of these homes were pre screened, pre approved adopters. They had vet references checked. Application paper work. Home situation assessed. Then a phone call and then a face to face meeting. Adoption contracts were signed and then he went home. so yes I said he was sold for 200 and then edited it because I did not feel this long explanation was necessary. 200.00 didn't cover his shots and exams let alone his voucher. Neuters ALONE cost 215.00 I could have not gone through the trouble of all of this and sold him for 300 in the paper. I chose to go the adoption route and go through all of this so he would be guaranteed a good home. He is safe, well cared for and adored If I didn't care about my dogs or take this seriously I would have sold all my babies as breeders to some kennel for 1,000. I had 3 yorkie girls 3 and under, I had Simon at 3 1/2 lbs and 21 months old. Each were altered at my expense and then re-homed. The MOST I got for any of those three babies was 400.00 and im THRILLED they got good homes and they now love as pampered pets. I'm very sensitive about this. I loved these guys and it was hard to let them go. I could NOT afford to do this the way I did but my dogs have always come first. I could not let them go out and get stuck in some kennel. They needed someone to love them and I made SURE that is what would happen. |
