| I wish you all the best in your search for a female yorkie. Not sure why you would want one before 12 weeks of age? Cotton coat is not the standard coat for a yorkie, neither is black and tan as an adult. Why do you want a 3-4lb female with full registration? I sure hop you aren't planning on breeding one that small? Breeding a female that small is just asking for trouble!

| Your misinformed First of all my grandma was an akc registered breeder for 15 years. Second being a groomed for 3 year I appreshiate the soft coat. Third I'm a dog trainer and after 12 weeks is on for a toy breed to seperate from mom and littermates. Forth akc recognizes black and gold, blue and gold, black and tan, and blue and tan as colors for adults. Fifth I said 3 and 1/2 to 4 and 1/2 not 3 to 4. I know standard is 4-7 but there are runts in litters. And you can have a akc registered puppy with a soft instead of silky coat it just can't be a show dog. So please don't talk to me like I don't know what I'm talking about my great aunt is a akc judge. Thank you |

Wow, she was trying to be nice and informative and you give this kind of response. Coming on here with that attitude is not going to help you find the puppy you are looking for I can assure you.

Also, your post response to jackson25 was what I consider rude....especially for a newbie wanting info.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Welcome to YT . Just fyi (since you're new and my not realize this) YT doesn't support the sale/solicitation of pups less than 10 weeks old. There are so many people here willing to help you (and some people already have here), me included.

The standard does not say 4-7 pounds. It says not to exceed 7 pounds. Any reputable breeder would never sell a breeding female to breed prior to the age of 7 months and that did not have all the qualities of a show dog. Never sell one as a breeder with a soft coat either. Let alone sell one under 5 pounds for breeding. Yes you can register blue and tan/black and tan and parti colors too. That doesn't all are breeding quality..... Your great aunt is a judge.....wonderful is she qualified to judge yorkies.....every judge has to complete a provisional term within each breed. If she has completed her provisional status as a yorkie judge, she would be the first to tell you that you only breed the best representation of the breed.
