| Looking for yorkie baby :) I am Amanda. I'm 23 years old, I rent a guesthouse (its practically a tiny house). I recently ended a 4 year relationship, my ex has pleaded with me for custody of our cats, which I am giving him. My mom showed pomeranians for the majority of my childhood and I am famililar with things relating to the care of toy breed dogs. I am looking for a little yorkie, prefferably black and tan. This will be for me, for a pet only. I want a baby so that I can raise him/her. I live in orange county, CA but I would possibly be willing to fly to go get the baby. I'm on somewhat of a budget as I'd like to stay under $1000, if I cant stay under taht amount, I'd need a payment plan. My puppy will be insured through VPI pet insurance, both of my cats were for the 2 years I owned them. I will provide a wonderful and forever home for my puppy. Thanks <3 |

| Hi there I was just reading your thread. I live all the way on the other side of the US in Maryland and I am a yorkie breeder. I think the best thing for you to do is go onto AKC breeder referral website and start looking for a small hobby yorkie breeder only. Please look out for anyone trying to sell you ACA or CKC puppies. I sell my males that are Champion lines for 800-900 and girls run 1000-1200. so I am sure you can find a nice healthy AKC baby in your price range. |

Not sure about your $1,000 budget, although it's not an impossibility. Especially on the west coast. You may find one for under that price.....but, usually not from reputable/responsible breeders.

Yes there are many out there who try to sell less than quality healthy puppies and one must really be careful and do their homework. As many don't take the time to do health testing of the parents or to make sure that the puppies get the best care they can. Some will even say they have a puppy for sale that they don't have (we see this all to often saddly). That being said: I concider myself a reputable breeder and I believe that I have some very nice and healthy Yorkies. Some of which I have been known to place in pet homes in that price range if I truely believe that the home is the right one for my babies. I do alot of background checks and talk extensively with anyone interested in my Yorkies and if I feel the home is the right choice then I will work with the perspective owner to get their puppy.
