| WTB: Looking for an AKC Yorkie in CA. I'm getting another Yorkie within the next few months. I'm looking for one that is very close to or meets the standard, free of defects (no roached backs, etc.), and has a baby doll face. I don't think I have a preference for what gender, but I'm thinking female (male is okay too) since Lucky is a male. I want a guarantee that will guarantee the dog from any genetical defects, health and appearance-wise. I'm tired of dealing with crap breeders.. the breeder I got Lucky from was very unsupportive and told me to just sell the dog if I didn't like it. Accusing me of starving the dog.. which caused his back to arch. BS!! I'm not going to list my budget as I don't even know what it is yet, so throw me some offers.. here or to my e-mail jinetix@gmail.com I live in the San Fernando Valley/Los Angeles area.

Donating YT 14K Club Member | We have several YT members that live in California. Hopefully they can refer you to some good breeders but even with that said, you should post potential breeders here in case out-of-staters have had dealings with that breeder. Good luck in your search and let us know what you find!

| Wow sorry to hear about your puppy. That should be a happy time for the both of you. If there is a serious problem most breeders refund or exchange the puppy. What is a "roached back"? Unfortunately there aren't test for all genetic problems. Appearance also, most of the time the diet & Hygene has alot to do with the coat. Did you have your puppy Vet Checked within 48hrs after you got him? When I sell my puppies I have the buyer sign a contract with an agreement to take the puppy within 48hrs to the Vet of their choice for a complete exam. If the Vet finds anything I will return the monies or exchange the puppy. I am happy to inform you that has never happened to me. Another suggestion is don't buy a puppy if you can't see one of the parents, which should be the Dam. And the surroundings in which it is living in. I do have puppies due this coming Friday Sept 30th and possibly more this December. I am a novice breeder and have breed Yorkies for the last 6 years. Oh did I mention I also live in California.
