| Reputable German Breeder? Hi everyone! I am interested in a Biewer but since there is a very limited supply here in the United State and the waiting lists are extremely long, I am looking into importing a little one. For the people that have imported their dogs, how did you go about deciding on which breeder to approach? Were the breeders willing to entertain a person from overseas? One website I went to clearly said (in german obviously ) they will not send their puppies out of the country. Can anyone point me in a reputable breeders direction? I read one post saying the breeder wanted to be kept secret but I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance! |

| Biewers Joey & Sammy, Their are several breeders over there some good and some bad. I am no name basher, but if you find a breeder there, just make sure you ask the right questions... as German Laws and US Laws are not the same. There are some of us that have been very blessed and found wonderful breeders there and have brought over some beautiful dogs. Then some have brought over questionable Biewers and it is sad to say this Biewers are of poor quality and are being sold over and over to those that don't do their research... thinking they are getting breeding pairs...once they get the dogs find out they aren't and sold again.... this is so sad and makes me so angry I have to wonder if they will ever get a forever home. I have some litters coming up and if you are willing to wait a little longer... I do have a waiting list, but all of them have not been pre-approved. But there are other members at YT that have Biewers too. Don't let your impatience rule your head, it will come for you, please do your research.

As for shipping, I really would like to stay way from that. I know we are shipping them in from Germany, and when we do this we always ship in pairs, never alone. We arrive several hours before they arrive get all our paperwork in order, so once they are taken off the plane they basically are in our possession instead of on a car-mac in the weather. What I will be doing in the the future is to subtract 150.00 off the price of the pup so the new owners can fly in and get their pups. This will also give me the opportunity to meet the new owners face to face and see how they interact with the puppy.

| Thank you Snow Yorkies for your response. I hope I didn't come across as being very impatient! One of the reasons that I am interested in dealing with a german breeder is so that I am not one of the many hundreds of voices vying for the same little puppy. (With only a couple of breeding pairs in this vast country its impossible not to be!) I would want a more one on one relationship with the breeder and be able to take my time and feel 100% comfortable throughout the whole process. I hope that explains more where I am coming from in this. PS. Your little ones are so cute! |

I think you heading in the right direction asking and learning from the mistakes of others. It's unfortunate, that breeders in Germany have been burned by people that buy their puppies for profit and nothing more. They charge double and more the price the paid for the puppy and then offern nothing...no guanratee, no regsitration no honest answers... Be careful buying from somone that makes it really easy for you to have one..it's NOT easy! More than likely they are gonna benefit off your purchase. Take your time, your patience will pay off! Good luck! Irene | |

| Joey and Sammy, I didn't feel that you were impatient I was just trying to help you. Letting you know that there are people that will be willing to help you in your quest for some beautiful babies. I just want to make sure you know the breed standard and not be misled. I get emails on some sad stories and would not want you to be one of them, is all. There are good resources here in America and in Germany for the Biewers. And I think everyone here at YT that are invoved this breed will all help you in anyway we can. I know I waited for almost a year for mine and I know what I paid for mine, but it was worth it to me especially after having the opportunity to take them to show and hear the AKC judges comments on them (this was a show with IABCA and the judges were from AKC, not to confuse that they were shown through AKC) It will happen for you and when you do find what you are looking for please share your pictures with us. Are you looking for a pet or are you looking to breed??? And thanks for you compliment on my babies. Let us know here at YT what we can do to help you. Be Blessed.
