To the seller of this precious baby. I'm not positive about where you live but I think I read DC area. I live in Hagerstown Maryland, so I'm sure we're pretty close to each other. You're around the beltway from me too!!! I'm in Southern Maryland(Brandywine, near Waldorf)..I had to go to West VA last weekend so I drove thru Hagerstown....unfortunately, I did not have time to go to the outlet!

Thank you Yolanda for confirming that we are not "scammers". Some people are to quick to judge, perhaps admin should post some new rules that require sellers to go thru an application and you all can do your research so the honest sellers don't have to be treated like criminals.

To anyone that is truly interested in Lexi, I will be more than happy to answer your questions BUT I will no longer come on here to prove myself that I am not a fraud nor will I take anymore pics of Lexi to prove she is real.

My personal experience in regards to having a new baby and small child..I had my dog for three yrs before my pregnancy. My dog was my first baby..I could not give him up. I went back and forth with all the what-ifs? But I could not do it. Our first born son was taught to respect our dog and vice-versa. I understand your concerns..I don't understand why couples bring animals in their lives knowing they are at least a 15 yr commitment and sell them when your lifestyle changes. I am not judging you ..It is just that you have done this once before. Animals have feelings. This message is for anyone who is thinking about getting a pet. Think about how your life might possilby change down the road. Will you be able to forever be the family your pet has bonded with and has become a part of? If this message hurts I am sorry. If you really have Lexi's best interest at heart then why not keep her or adopt her out instead of selling her for $1000.

Well to each there own, it's no ones business whether someone decides to sell there dog or not for whatever reason. For us its the best situation......

Why do I not adopt her out, if your saying why don't I just give her away. I'm sorry but I will not do that and I don't know anyone who would regardless if you want the best interest in them. If that was the case then breeders or anyone for that matter would be giving away there pups left and right......

Thats just rediculous, I came on here so she can go to a loving home and not get the third degree.

When you post a message on a Yorkshire Terrier Forum dedicated to the love of this breed and any breed for that matter, you make it everyone on Yt's business. You have to be prepared for some serious questions and comments.The one's who don't ask the questions are the ones you should be worried about..My suggestion was not to give her away but to try and keep her. Hundreds of dogs and cats are given up daily..I know I fostered them. Just do whats best for Lexi..Peace.

I was not being rude nor nasty...I just have a soft heart for animals that have to be rehomed. I have the best intentions and don't want to offend..with that said l apoligize for any ill feellings..no need to apologize for me..thanks..

I was not talking directly to or about you. I was talking to the people who were being bluntly rude or judgemental. I just reread your post, and actually, I didn't think you were being rude.

I tend to have a soft spot for people who need to rehome their dog, because from what I've personally seen and expierienced, most times it hurts the owner more than the dog.

The only thing I will say on this subject is that you should have her spayed prior to adopting/selling her. TOO MANY people will pose as a good home when their true intentions are to breed her for tinies. They are sneaky and no matter how careful there is no way of knowing for sure their intentions. PLEASE consider having her spayed prior to selling her. This is the ONLY way to ensure she is not bred. Elaine

I think this person just has the yorkies best interest at heart. You said that a year ago you had to give up another dog, and like it's already been said, dogs do have feelings, they are atleast 15year commitments, yes life changes occur during that time, but a dog is a commitment, and rehoming your dog for every life change isn't really a good practice. I know each situation is different, so I'm not judging or telling you what you should or shouldn't do, you know what's best for your situation and the dog, but if you decide to get another dog, I hope you don't have to rehome the dog again because of another life change. And I agree with ckuz13 on the price too, $1000 to rehome is kinda pricey, she's is a gorgeous little girl though!!! But people can get a puppy for that price, sometimes even less. But the price you charge for rehoming is between you and the buyer, and no one elses businesses. If someone wants to pay 100 or 1000 for a pet, that's their decision. We all have our opinions on what's a good price and what's not, but unless were making the purchase, it's really not our say.
