Senior Yorkie Talker | Another plea for help in VA/DC/MD/W.VA in finding a furbaby Hello, I'm a newbie. I have been reading this site for about a month now and researching the breed for over 6 months. I know many people have posted requesting breeders in the NOVA/DC/MD/W.VA area (near DC)/DE. I have notice there haven't been very many responses. I have found one breeder in Silver Spring, MD that I found on another site and have written a breeders in Chantilly and Spotsylvania County Virginia. No response from them as of yet. I met a woman at Pets Smart who got her little one from a woman in West Virginia that was listed in the Washington Post (washingtonpost.com). I have checked out the washingtonpost.com and have had no luck. Just scammers. I am familiar with dcpetfinders.com and they seem awesome but have yet to see pure breed puppies on their site, yet the way they are organized is awesome. Is there anyone within a 2.5 hour ride from Alexandria, VA expecting a litter that will be ready for a perm. home in July/August? If so, what is the pricing? We have no particular desire for a specific sex. We just wanted to go with the personality of the puppy and we are not interested in breeding at all. If you have a litter available now, let me know and I will pass on your information anyway to someone else. I'm nervous about shipping but where I wasn't considering it 6 months before, I am now. Simply because the price including shipping has been great from the breeders I have seen, the health guarantee, the opportunity to speak to others who have purchased and the possibility of us having a friend in the area to go by and visit the breeder. My biggest thing was that the baby won't be comfortable, but I am now aware that there are some airlines that will allow the babies in the main cabin when shipping. Sorry for my long message but I have been reading and researching to make sure we will find a great furbaby and be the best parents possible. Thank you all in advance for your advice. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | Thank you to all that have responded so far. I have met some great people with reasonable prices and update my husband daily on who I speak with. We really do appreciate the responses. We would love to take a baby now, but can't because of where we live. Yet, we will be in a new home come the summer. This is why we are asking for IF litters will be available in July or August to go to their forever home. This will give us the time to settle in and be prepared. We are already purchasing items for the BIG arrival. I do have an update! We have a family member that will fly to pick up the fur baby for us. We simply ask that you meet her at the airport. This way we are sure the little one will be fine flying in the cabin with her. The only thing that will still be needed is the vet. check papers. We will even provide the pet carrier. Again, we can't get he/she until JULY/AUGUST and WE DO NOT WANT TO BREED. We simply want a healthy and loving puppy. As this will be our first together. (Newlyweds here) If we are like this for this little one, just imagine what it will be like when we have kids!!!! A BUNCH!

| Have you gone to the YTCA website? It's a great place to find reputable breeders in your area. Good luck in your search! http://www.ytca.org/breeder4.html
