Looking for yorkie, not much $, but so much love to give.. I am looking for a yorkie :aimeeyork to fill my empty heart again. I really have not much cashand I am probably just wishing for nothing, but I figured the worst that could happen is that I would get a bunch of no's. I have to ask in order to receive, as far as "The Secret" goes. LOL. I already have a crate, kennel for night training, sweaters, bows, toys, and all the other little things a yorkie needs. I just recently lost my yorkie and really cannot live without one now. I just figured I would write and see what happens. marla |
Try looking in the for sale columns. Occasionally there are free dogs to dog homes, or dogs at very low prices. I've seem them as low as 300, so you wouldn't have that much more to come up with. I got my first yorkie here for 150, and he's the greatest. Best wishes with your search, and welcome to YT. |

Try searching the different forums. I believe there was two members looking to rehome their pups today...and someone again yesterday. They're on here...you just have to do a little search... and maybe you'll find... Good luck :) |
There are always yorkies needing a home..take you time and you will find one for sure.. Let others know if you can afford to look after one financially with vet bills that could arise. That is most important to most people to know and be sure of..As long as people know you can maintain a yorkie. Sometimes finding the right home is more important then money, when a yorkie needs rehoming. good luck in your search..:aimeeyork |
Good luck in your search! Sometimes something comes up on here, and someone needs to rehome their yorkie. If its an emergency, they don't always charge. You just need to make sure that you can afford to take care of your pup if...God forbid...there is an emergency. Welcome to YT! and I'm sorry for your loss. =( |
Just FYI, here is some info from the rules section with some good advice and suggestions.... Yorkies are generally from $500 on up, with most being in the $1000 to $1500 range. Please do not post looking for Yorkies below $500. If your budget for a Yorkie does not allow for $500 or more, you may want to look into Yorkie rescues or adoptions of older Yorkies, as they may be better suited to your price range. There is a 'Rescue' section here on YT that you may want to check out too. |

Please do not stop coming on Yt. You will soon learn as you go, Read threads. There really are some great people on here, and lots will help you. There are yorkies out there that are sweet that need rehoming here and there. I have seen quite a few actually. I am sure others do not want to scare off a potential forever home for a yorkie in need. Actually you will see some, so watch the threads that pop up. I realize your wants/need to get your name out there so if one is looking Yters would know the people who are looking. I am sure you are thinking the same thing many do, If this forum is all about yorkies, and we all love our yorkies and with this amount of members, some one out there will know of one that would suit my needs or wants. well for the mostpart you are right. I took in my first three yorkies as resue's. They were the luvs of my life. There are many younger ones also. So they are out there. |
thanks. i understand now. Just upset and touchy this week. marla |
Hi Marla and welcome to YT. You didn't specify what you meant by not much cash on hand but I have seen numerous good prices for some babies on here...I'm sure if you look around, you'll find one. Also, if you get a puppy that is more than you are expecting, maybe you can just use what you have now to put down as a deposit as most breeders require & by the time the puppy is ready to leave it's mommy, you may be able to come up with the rest. As long as you know it doesn't stop there and these little babies require continuous spending..especially if you spoil them like most yorkies owners do!:D Good Luck and i hope you find one! |

Good food and good health care is so expensive today so even with an animal from a shelter that you may only have to pay a couple hundred dollars for it does deserve good care. In typing this post I am not only thinking of the dog but you too. Maybe you can put aside a fund and add to it little by little and you never know when your financial situation will improve. I'm so sorry you lost your yorkie, it's heart breaking and the holiday season seems to be a time you want to fill that void but think it through wisely and do the best thing for you and a new yorkie you may have some day. Hugs, Joan |

I can completely understand why you would be touchy having just lost your poor Coco last Friday after only having had her a few weeks, especially in the way in which it happened. I cannot imagine how devastating that must be for you and my heart goes out to you.:( Please don't think that people were making private jokes about you--references made to a situation not even related to you, but I can see where it would have been confusing. |

I'm so sorry that you lost your Coco.....I know that you are devestated and as Bama mentioned, especially in the way it happened. ......I hope that you soon will find a pup to fill the void in your heart....I know that Coco will not be able to be replaced, but you will be able to smile when you think of your lil love. |
Marla, I totally believe that I got Bella using the SECRET! My husband said no for an entire year. So what changed his mind? hmmmmmmmmmmm?????;) Just put it out there!!! |
that is great FL-tink. I have had a picture of a beautiful yorkie up on my vision board for months to a year now. I had one for three weeks and then she died suddenly. I hope that it is not because it is not meant to be. I love yorkies and am so addicted now. I miss her dearly. |

Can someone show me exactly where she mentioned the magic trigger dollar amount of looking for a Yorkie of under $500? For the life of me I cannot find it. Not having much cash is completely discretionary so what one person feels as "not having much cash" can be totally different than another's idea of "not having much cash". And, tragically, she just lost a Yorkie so I imagine she has a good idea of the potential problems, costs, etc... associate with having a Yorkie. To the OP, I truly hope you find a little one to fill the empty space in your heart that I cannot begin to imagine. Warm wishes, |
thanks to all, and I must say i am so sorry for starting this eruption of anger. LOL. I did not mean to cause any harm. the forum says yorkies for sale or wanted, so i told people i wanted one. marla |
Don't worry Marla, you didn't do anything wrong. its just that in the past we've had a lot of people, usually newer members, come on asking for a free yorkie. And you weren't doing that of course, but sometimes our brains just kind of switch to that immediately. Hopefully we didn't turn you off the site. :) Stick around, your baby will find you eventually! |
