| i did NOT try to deceive anyone. I already posted about what happened to my pup. I do not need to keep reliving the horror of that day by explaining what happened. you people are very rude. thanks for understanding RLC.

| Are you going to be honest with breeders and tell them this happened with your last yorkie?

| yes, when there comes a time where i get from a breeder. that is not going to happen now. I already spent $950 on her. I am not in a situation where i have all that money right now. What the heck else am i going to say. I would tell a rescue place, or wherever else i go. i don't know what you people think of me. I talked all about what happened to her on the RIP page.. I thought for me that was enough. I don't want to relive the image. I have had to tell all my friends and family the same thing. This was my fault only in that i let her out of her crate for 30 seconds. I did not mean her harm and i am beginning to think all you people think i just went out a spent $950 to bring her home and kill her.

It would be ludicris to think you went out and spent that kind of money on a yorkie just to bring it home and kill her?? We certainly dont think that??!! We know you didnt mean her harm...if you had it to do all over again knowing what the results would be...would you have gotten her??? If you answer no to that question..then why get another one?? Those 30 seconds could happen again..we all just turn our backs for a second and in your case you have a large dog that could do a toy breed dog real damage and as you have sadly experienced..death.. I KNOW you wish you could turn back time but you cant..what you can do is consider a larger breed..it doesnt have to be a "large" breed per say...maybe a heartier breed like a shnauzer or a cocker spaniel?? I just cant fathom why you would risk it again with a tiny breed?? Would you really want to have to go through this again?? Its not like you can guarentee the two dogs will never interact...how fair is it to have two dogs that cant even be together anyhow?? Whats the point in doing that?? Think of it this way...if this was someone else's dog that killed your yorkie..would you take your next yorkie to visit with this dog after what it had done to your first?? Not likely..WE DONT THINK YOU ARE A BAD PERSON..I hope you see that..we are just concerned..thats all!! Why not take the time to research other breeds as you might be pleasantly suprised that you can love another breed as much as you do yorkies!! I LOVE cockers..springer spaniels are on my top 10 list..look around and see if there is another breed that captures your heart and makes a better match for your family... Dawn | |

I explained myself in those other threads too. The part I copied explains the average costs of Yorkies, recommends rescue as another option, and does point out the rule section that may have been unnoticed--all things that I would *think* would be beneficial information to a new member. It's NOT to cram rules down someone's throat and give new members a hard time as it is made out to be by others. If that somehow is misconstrued as rude to other members, well, not much I can do about that. It is what it is. The power of suggestion is a dangerous thing--I think that the situation is blown out of proportion many times by people determined to make something out of nothing, which is unfortunate because no one benefits from that. I don't mean any harm with my words, I just would put the love for the puppy first and Not risk another pup. Instead focus on the love for your labr lab and get him a companion big enough for him to have fun with and play.

| I just have to say something here. Lots of people on here have posted about losing their yorkies to accidents. They were playing and the yorkie fell, they left the yorkie in the backyard and it came up missing, another dog attacked their yorkie. I've heard a lot about 'accidents' occuring because someone turned their head or left their yorkie unattended for just a minute not thinking that anything would happen. Should these people be discouraged from getting another because of an accident? I don't recall anyone telling them they should get another breed because they lost their yorkie to an accident, to that one moment they weren't watching, that one moment they would give anything to have back. If this were someone who had been on YT for awhile and not someone new, there would be nothing but kind words and understanding. I don't understand how come newbies are treated different from long timers, it's one of the things about this site that I am tring to deal with and I see happen over and over again. I love you guys, you have been more than friends, you have helped me SO many times and I would be lost without you. I just don't understand the discrepancy, an accident is an accident, no matter the circumstances - a baby is gone and someone is hurting. |

| Of course there are accidents and we feel sorry for the people involved but do you think if someone that left the gate open told us they were going to get another yorkie and felt it was ok to leave the gate open again we would think it was fine. I'm sure not and that really is the difference here. No more posts for me.....I give up!!!

| no, there is no difference. Someone posted yesterday that they had labs and they kept them separated and she did not care. She did not mind. I know what i did wrong and I know what happened and if i say it is not going to happen again, it wont. I hate to bring up pasts, but i read a post the other day about a poor dog who fell 10 or so stories from an open window or door. It is a sad story and he is suffering a loss too. But no one yelled at him. marla

This is not a personal attack towards you. But, people fail to remember what YT is about.....the love, care and sharing of our yorkies. I understand that feelings can be hurt.....but, first and foremost is the welfare our yorkies. Breeders put countless hours into their program and not to mention blood, sweat and tears....I'm aware that accidents happen, but an accident such as this would make any breeder leary of knowingly placing a pup into a situation that "may" cause the death of their pup.

| i understand for those to be concerned. But to completely not even think about giving me a chance. I just looked on the RIP page and there are more than one listing where an accident had happened. Are you all going to treat these people the same?? There are wishes that "another yorkie will steal your heart one day soon." why should they get a chance and not I. What's the deal? i was trying to end this stupid discussion, but i just could not help it. i wish this whole posting would get locked or deleted.
