Hi Lissa,

I'm from Jersey too. I got my yorkie from a breeder in PA and believe me it was not cheap. Most breeders in this area aren't cheap so your right to be looking in a rescue or a rehoming situation if you are on a tighter budget. I check petfinder.com alot just to see what's out there and yorkies do end up in shelters sometimes. Also there are rescues aren't here like United yorkie rescue and rescue me yorkie that might be able to help you out. And lastly we have this forum here: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=39 where people post threads about yorkies that they find at shelters or craigslist that need homes or they are rehoming their own yorkie.

Good luck on their search and i hope you weren't scared away.

Please do not post looking for Yorkies below $500. If your budget for a Yorkie does not allow for $500 or more, you may want to look into Yorkie rescues or adoptions of older Yorkies, as they may be better suited to your price range. Feel free to PM sellers with an offer, but the public forum is not a place to beg or whine for a Yorkie.
at first your were referring to what bama said and then you said the rules also state and then you quoted the rules so therefore you werent saying what she could have meant you were adding on lol. im not fighting but just stating the OP didnt say she couldnt pay 500 she just said that she couldnt pay 700 and that she did believe she needed a rescue. So if anyone knew anything to let her know.

Deb i do know rules are the rules but this lady doesnt seem to be begging lol and if she was im sure admin would have closed this thread already. she simply said she was looking for a rescue. And if anyone had one to let her know and she would make a great owner. She didnt come on here begging from breeders lol. IM sorry but some stuff is just taken too seriously.

Yeah, but can you say that 5 times fast? ;) I think what she said I said I meant was all confusing and a misuderstanding for several here...like you said.:p

Again... Another slightly heated post. Its always the same thing... Members feeling that other's were to blunt or direct when posting, but.... ISNT THAT WHAT A PUBLIC FORUM IS? Your gonna get the good and the bad, right? We have members from around the world here... the way you talk on the east coast is totally different from me on the west coast - so we need to be a little more open minded and not so quick to get offensive. Not to mention, most of us are women and we can tend to have a lot more emotion.... so, I just want to say "relax.... its just the internet - what can you do" :)

I did read where you said thanks for posting the rules then after that you quoted me and interpeted it to say I said OP was breaking the rules,which I never said or implied that! Just want to make that clear.;)

Good luck finding a sweet baby!! I'd think a rescue sounds more like what you are looking for but who knows? I found Beau for quite the deal if you ask me! :p

I found Sugar through petfinder.com. She was 3 yrs old & fully trained. She's the best little doggy I could ever hope to have. Good luck!

Awe, that is ever so sweet..I took in my first three as rescues...and I loved them to pieces too....how can you not love them, and sometimes those are the one's that want to please us even more..:D

Hello and welcome to Yt! Have you tried www.petfinder.com ??? Wishing you the best of luck in finding your special baby! I have been there and I know how it feels to want a yorkie so bad that, thats all you can dream about! Dreams really do come true! I have 3 babies now! Ohh and 3 yorkie puppies! lol If you were not so far away from me, I may have the perfect baby for you!
