Hi wishing you the best in finding your forever fur-baby, dont give up theres always hope. I have seen a lot of ads here on YT of people wanting to rehome their babys, so good luck and keep your eyes open. |
I am thinking this girl is not coming back...I think she is gone from this site..sad but it looks like it..she got quite slammed, and being new, I am sure what she must be thinking..I sent her a pm, hoping to hear from her, but she probably doesn't know what a pm is..took me a bit and I am still figuring out this whole site... I tried telling her there were lots of baby's and one's needing to be rehomed to come back.. never heard from her... maybe the thread should just close. |

You know...she didn't sound like she was begging to me from what I read in her post. I can totally relate to her, as in when I was about 23 years old...living in a one bedroom home ALONE and although I didn't have "alot" of money then, I sure did have a little yorkie that I loved and adored and his health care/needs always came first and foremost in my budget even though I wasn't "well off". I hope you find a little companion...we all need one. They make life so much nicer. I also agree that you should maybe consider looking into a rescue or an older yorkie that is being retired. Best wishes to you. |
I feel so sorry for this girl..what sort of welcome to YT is this? another thread full of petty squabbling! I hope she finds a baby to keep her company soon.;) |

Please, for a first timer the things that were said would have been enough to scare her. Face it, things were getting out of hand for no reason. I guess it depends on what side of the fence you are on in regards to how you read these posts. IMO they certainly were intiminating. With absolutely no reason to go in that direction. The dog mentioned may have lost a loving home. |

I think what turned this thread into "drama" was the post that quoted the rules. some felt it was unnecessary and took it from there. some felt what was quoted was wrong because it stated begging was not allowed, when in reality the original poster was not begging. I agree that it really is how you interpert what you read, I am guilty of reading something the wrong way. lets just hope she comes back because YT is really great. |

As Shadow mentioned...it has been done before, many times, many rules, by members other than just myself, not sure what made this such a big deal... Not the first time, won't be the last... Oh well, not going to lose sleep over it.... |
Welcome to YT! Good luck on the search for your perfect yorkie. :) I urge you to look at the costs however, of vetting, shots, yearly upkeep and emergencies before you decide to add any dog to your family. They can be quite costly and that also needs to be thought about in addition to the "purchase" price of a yorkie pup :) |
I felt the same way.... Apparently others somehow know what I meant more than I know myself! Quote:

I hope Lillissa comes back but I'll bet she was scared away. Sweetie, if you do come back...welcome and I hope you find a baby that needs a loving home. |
i didn't read the whole thread but the fact that she dropped yt for the advise that was given no matter how "direct" only makes me wonder how committed she would have been to a dog of her own. tina |
 i must say when i started my search for my first yorkie i was 17 years old... living in my own apartment with my now fiance and had about $200 to my funds... i was looking on the internet, pet stores, filled out numerous applications to rescue (but couldn't because i was only 17) i traveled over 6 hours to look at one for $900, i knew i couldn't afford him but i thought i'd make my boyfriend fall in love and buy it for me. He was the smart one who said if i can't afford to BUY it how can i afford to care for it? but in my eyes i didn't care! male or female, old or young.. i was just head strong on the fact that i was getting a yorkie!! granite most 17 year olds weren't as responsible as i was at the time with a full time job, bills, and a boyfriend who helped A LOT with all of this. anyways (sorry for the novel) i couldn't find a yorkie within price range even with my boyfriend offering to give $400 to my fund! i became OBSESSED with getting a yorkie i even started looking at yorkie mixes... started to read ANYTHING that had to do with yorkies and also ended up taking a lot of knowledge in!! needless to say over time my set aside puppy fund started to accumulate and i also learned a lot about the responsibility of owning a yorkie. two years later i purchased my baby girl for $1,400 from a reputable breeder three hours from my house. Two days later had to at the vet and she's the BEST thing that EVER happened to me. I know it seems like a real drag but i REALLY reccomend waiting until you have the funds to fully support your new baby... and the waiting will assure you that you have the perfect baby and when you finally get him or her it will make it so much sweeter! (sorry this is so long.. but its knowledge i wish someone would have given me!) :) good luck! |
