I wish you would find someone here that is very experienced with these tiny babies. I am great with dogs, know a lot about yorkies, and I'm home all day but I would not be comfortable taking on the responsibility of one so small. Please, choose very carefully. |
Thanks for the info Considering the time and effort Christy puts into her breeding program... and I know she is very careful... she probably does all test... but to be honest... I don't know if she does the liver testing... I do know the vet checks them out... she culls luxating patellas... that sort of thing... but I will have to ck on the liver testing tomorrow. Since if you read my last post ... I have really just sold to friends and friends of friends... I have never had that question... so I haven't got an answer. I had already got it several times on this tiny so I was planning to call her tomorrow... but I am pretty confident that it has been done because I know before she would sell it to me she had a lot of testing done... and was going to keep if for herself but I had presold her next two girls and this was one of them... as I said in my last post... my friend's parent bought her sis and her but her sis is extremely agressive toward smaller dogs and they didn't get along well... so they took the boy out of this same litter of 3 and I got her back. Well.. my mom wants her... Christy would take her back... but I figured I would try until Christmas to find someone I would let buy her... I have just had to be sooo picky. I'll up my health guarantee from now on. |
experienced I want to find someone experienced. I would just sell her to my mom for what I bought her for... she is home all day.... she could do it... but I need the money for Christmas and the trip home then. However if I haven't sold her by then... I am sure my mom will steal her from me! lol |
How many dogs does your friend have in her breeding program? How many breeds does she breed? |
I hope you stck to your guns and sell this precious baby to someone VERY experienced. Seems to me that you have been honest throughout the entire thread. That's all you can do. I am also selling a little one right now but not as little as your girl. Mine has no health issues or low sugar issues but I am well aware that it takes a very special person to be a parent to these little ones. Good luck finding the perfect home for her. |
She is a little doll. When I got Cali she was 1 lb at 9 weeks and had several hypoglycemic episodes requiring ER hospitilizations. I was at home with her full time and was fortunate to see her episodes in time. SHe had her last one at almost 8 months and just grew out of them. She was diagnosed with a very mild MVD Internal liver shunt but the specialists did not think that her episodes were connected to this as it was so mild not requiring treatment. My point is I guess is that sometimes they have low sugar episodes regardless of the size and any terrible illnesses. I had to feed Cali every 3 -4 hours for months and I would get up in the middle of the night to feed her. So I think you are being very responsible in only selling her to an experienced home. I have had Yorkies since 1970 and still couldn't prevent her episodes, but thankfully I was able to be home with her all the time. I would think she needs a home that someone will be home with her at least until she is older. I hope she finds the perfect home. |
I am interested in your maltese Hi: Can you please give me additional information on your maltese. I am very interested. I am a stay at home mom of three older daughters, 14, 18 and 22We live in a private home with a fenced backyard (although I never let my yorkie out unsupervised and she is far bigger at 8lbs). We take her everywhere, including all family vacations, and would do the same with him. I am extremely health conscious, up to date vet records, and as most on the board we spoil endlessly. I can either drive half way to meet you or if necessary we would consider driving to you. You are more than welcome to visit our home and obviously can speak to my vet and other references. Please contact me at your earliest convenience in PM or on the board.. whatever you prefer. I did not see a price on the board but must be honest I skimmed through a lot of the posts. Looking forward to hearing from you. Randy |
Your Babies are beautiful. I cant get over those sweet faces. I am begging my Hubby as I type.lol ...... I would love to have this baby. I have been looking for a bigger Yorkie for my Mom, and have always wanted another for my self. How I would love to have this baby of yours. |

Wow... I can't believe what this thread has come to...:( I think OP here has been very forthcoming with what she knows about this baby. I also think that she has shown the most concern about where this teeny baby goes--much more concern than I've seen lots of for sale posts indicate. I know a lot of members at YT are overly protective of the puppies posted for sale, but please don't take that concern to the point of harrassment. It seems only natural that anyone pm'ing or phoning OP about this baby would get more info than can be posted in a series of posts. But from her replies in this thread, I get absolutely no impression that she's trying to hide anything. I haven't spoken to her or pm'd her. In fact, this is the first I'm reading this thread, but maybe questions here can be asked in a little nicer manner :) . |
So sorry to hear about your Husband's medical problems. I hope you find good homes soon. |
Hi not to be rude or any thing just stating the rules. I dont think members are allowed to ask questions ask of any thing from the OP if they are not hoping or wanting to buy the pup thats forsale, I say this because I see members asking and saying things and I did the same thing on another Sale thread, all I asked was about weight and said that I had a Yorkie that was the same size at that age and It got to be bigger then what they was saying theirs would and Admin was quick to delete my post and sent a pm of the rules and said I was not allowed to ask or say that if I was not on the thread to Purchase the pup. I was only allowed to say Like the pup was cute. |
Your Maltese and Yorkie are both beautiful. |

We have always fed ours more times a day and not free fed them but actually sat down by them while they ate. Our Prairie Bea is quite small and she eats at least four times a day, small amounts naturally and she does great, she was born on June 30th so she is close to the same age as your little one there. I have always liked to do this when they are young cause then I know for sure what they consume, that is just my way of feeding ours when their this young. Have you sat and fed her more often and maybe put a tiny bit of nutri-cal on the food? What food are you feeding her now? Ours loves the tiny kibbles and eats the portion I put down. I pray your little one finds a wonderful home and does real well. Like I said I only have read to this post so I dont know what others posts are. She is so very tiny, hopefully she will start gaining with the growth rate. You are being very caring about her going into her new home upon selling her and I commend you for that, glad to see the love you have for this little one. Prayers that she does real well and I know you will place her in a loving and special home. Wishing you and your family a nice day. Patti and Jack and girls |
Wow... What a difference a day makes. Remind me to never be on here late at night again... the nicer people definately come out in the day time...lol. Thank you all for your nice comments. I would like to reiterate: She only had the blood sugar problems when I was feeding her once a day (she ate the full 1/4 cup and cottage chse and so I thought she was good (I am not as experienced but knew what to look for w/ low blood sugar). Any way... after the first episode... I had been 2hrs late feeding her... then I realized that she couldn't really make it 24hrs well... so I started feeding here every 12 hours. THIS TOOK CARE OF THE PROBLEM COMPLETELY!!!!! I only mentioned it to these people so that anyone that took her knew how vitally important her feeding schedule is. This hasn't happened w/ her in 1mo. I have not even had her 2mo. It was a short lived problem corrected by learning immediately!!! But IF someone bought her.... they would need to know so it didn't happen. I didn't have to tell anyone...since it doesn't happen anymore... but if they didn't follow my advise to either feed 2wice a day or free feed then she would die. I had to tell them... even though it is over and done w/ Thanks for all your concern |

My fair lacy I honestly don't think it is any of your business. You are only asking in order to try to have something else to attack me on. However ...she isn't a puppy mill nor is she a back yard breeder.... not btw do I think all backyard breeders are bad. I agree w/ a previous post that there are many responsible families that breed their pets. Puppy mills are bad.... horrible... the people should be under the prison well.. wait... that is where the child molestors should be... but they should be in jail. You all have to get your puppies from somewhere... kennels ... breeders... have to exist... lol I also won't tell you how many breeds... like I am so ignorant that I can't get what you are trying to imply? Or is it me being defensive again...lol... as if. But if anyone is truly interested in the puppy and wants to know the answer to either question Pm me... I will be glad to tell them... since I am very proud of her kennel.... it is the best I have ever seen. Also... just by reading my threads the breed thing should be easy to figure out. |
 |
I say all this nonsense should just stop:thumbup: and take a look at what really matters, that this little tiny girl needs a good home. I know how hard it is to raise these little ones and I hope she goes to someone who is experienced in them:) Also do you try free feeding her, my smallest right now is 1.9 lbs and she is 7 months old and I leave food for her 24 hrs a day and that seems to keep her sugar level A O.K. Also my little ones are with me at work all day:thumbup: :) Also I know that Dina is a great person and she is just looking out for all the good YT members:thumbup: :) she would not wan't you to leave this site because of her! Good luck with your tiny:) |
Hi again, I just finished reading the posts and wanted to say, " this is the best site I have ever been to on the internet in all the years of having a computer, and I truely hope you stay here as a member." I found this site after we lost our precious yorkie and have found that there are so many caring people here. We may have our differences at times but that is good that one can express their opinions in a productive manner, sometimes words can be misunderstood so hang in there and stay with this site, you will be so happy you did. My prayers for you and your family going through these health issues that you are enduring. God Bless you and your family and give you the strength daily enduring the many difficulties that come our way in this life time. There was a reason for you to find this site and don't let that reason drive you away :) maybe it was part of God's plan for you to come here. HIS way is always the BEST. Hugs to you and your family, Patti and Jack and girls. |

Hopefully you will find the perfect home for this little one where it can be loved and cared for by someone experienced enough to provide the special kind of care required for a smaller Yorkie. Good Luck! (I posted this in the OP's other thread, but thought I'd add it here too.:) ) |
Sure it does! Quote:
