| How many a month? How many times you showed a month. I was just curious, because I want to get into showing. |

| For me it depends on the locations and how expensive the travel. I try to show at least once a month to keep Connor and I in practise. If there's nothing around AKC than we show UKC. I'd like to do more but have to work every other Saturday. It's loads of fun though!!

| It depends on the season. The month of Sept and through Oct. there is pretty much a show every weekend. So, maybe 4 weekends in a row, but then these can be 3 to 5 day clusters, with a different kennel club putting on the show each day.

| Usually one show/weekend a month, but it does depend on the season. Like this month there were the Florida shows(circuit) I could have gone to, but had classes/training so could not make it. Now next month there are two shows I could go to, but will only go to one. One show is 6+ hours away. Sometimes I am in the mood to drive that far others not. Then in August I have a weekend show. In September there are 3 show weekends. I will try to make all three that month. Then October there are 3 show weekends and a B Match. That will be hard to do them all. My girls are now just old enough for points, so I will try to make more of the shows this year. As pups - we just made the ones for fun and practice. I only do the weekend days since I have to work, even if there are the 3-4 day clusters. It really depends on what you want to do and how much money you have for hotels, gas, food expensives. Just go to the ones you want and always remember to have fun. T. Last edited by topknot; 07-01-2007 at 05:38 PM. |

No Longer a Member | Are there shows going on this often in any one area? How do I find out about them. I'd love to go to more shows, but I only know about the YTCLA, and those don't seem to come around locally very often. |

| Misty go to infodog.com or to jackbradshaw.com they'll give you info on the up and coming dog shows in the West Coast.

The shows in Texas, Oklahoma, Mo, Arkansas and Kansas are indoors and there are many throughout the summer months, but Sept-Oct they really ramp them up ...from my understanding most of the shows out here in California are all out doors.

| AS MANY AS I CAN AFFORD. i have been blessed to meet a very wonderful person(at a dog show) that loves to show as much as i do, and now we are going to be splitting travel expenses, which allows us to show more than once or twice a month. you can go to the AKC site to look up events. |
