By the way, I checked out your website. You have some beautiful Yorkies. I sometimes wish that I would have gotten back into a "show circuit" with Yorkies. ( I used to show Quarter Horses when I was younger) It is a lot of work.... but the rewards are so much worth it!

| ![]() I have a question about bows. What size do I need to get? I'm preparing to show my guy for the first time and would like to get the right size for him.

There are determining factors on size. It's dependent on age, ear set, ear length, whether your boy has a typey face, etc... If he's a pup you can go with a single flat back bow. If he's an adult with a good tight ear set and a nice not too short of a muzzle you can go with a 7/8 double bow. If the ear set is wider....you may have to go with a larger bow, those that are made for ShizTzus (did I spell it right). The color red you use is determined on the gold on your pup. Some reds can wash a dog out, some dogs have too much red in their furnishings and require a more orange tone....etc. I make my own, which is easier to make them custom to each dogs features.

| ![]() Thank you. As he gets older and closer to age that I will show him, I might post some pictures for opinions on which color, size, etc. to use.

![]() However sometimes making just red bows gets boring lol so luckily I have yorkie customers I can put my different colored bows in their hair. I make my own topknot bows to use on my "special" customers. LOL as in special I mean yorkie So... I guess Im living vivaciously through my customers lol PS... Are you going to the PA speciality this August?

| ![]() Thanks for the link K. I think I am going to order some of those. I passed it on to a show groomer in my area...she asked me the other day if I knew of a good place to order them. |
