You can, you're young, start now. I only wish that I had found my passion much earlier in life and began sooner. I started out with 2 lil companion yorkies that I wanted to learn more about.....and the journey has been marevelous.....yep! even the frustrations have been worth it. Nothing like the feeling of Chamioning your 1st dog....no, better yet taking a dog of your own breeding into the ring and have it start winning as a puppy.

Hey Robbie, When is the Va. Beach show? I'm leaving to do Fredericksburg on Friday and Saturday. Laurie is already there having a ball I'm sure. Will you be doing the Chesapeake show on the 28th? We're expecting pups next week so I'll have to see how it goes. Definitely want to attend the Chesterfield show in May, that's only 1 1/2 hr. from home. Hope to meet you in person soon!

Yep I'll be in Chesterfield. I'll send you an email about the va beach show. I went last year and it was lots of fun, great people and great LOCATION!
It is an outdoor show, which I love.
Will be in touch. Also... BIG CONGRATS on Connor! and best wishes with your upcoming litter.

the frustrations have been worth it and i have learned so much from you and a few others here. butterfly yorkie stated there was a show here in va beach. i would love to go. i am waiting for her to pm me back to let me know when and where.

I'm confused. The earliest AKC in Va.Beach show that I could find is Nov. 1. Is it Va. Beach kennel club but the show is held elsewhere?

Should be done early that day, the entries are low. Its like 9 dogs and 20 bitches

It is a UKC show Tami. It is held in a campground at va beach sponsored by the Hampton Roads weight pull club. I attended this show last May.

I looked UKC and I still can't find it, I guess I'm losing it! We were suppose to compete today but we're having a snow storm. We have about 5 inches out there and it's not suppose to stop before noon. Poor Laura is still stuck in Fredericksburg. I don't know if she'll be able to get home today or not. Connor did okay yesterday, took his class. He was all over the place, cold makes him frisky. All he wanted to do was play with the other dogs! Duece took Reserve Winner's Dog yesterday and Winner's dog the day before. He now has his first AKC point! Congrats to Duece and Laura!

Yes, I am still here. The show was cancelled because of the snow so we toured the battlefields and enjoyed the hot tub and room service.

Thank you Tami. Deuce has his first point. As many of you know, Deuce ate tainted Eukanuba and almost died. It was a pleasure to see him back to normal and back into the ring. This was my dog Guy's (Ch Tsa La Gi I've Got Trouble) first show out as a Special. Even though he didn't take any BOB wins, I enjoyed showing him. He is new to me and we are just getting to know each other. When he gets comfortable with me at the end of the lead and gets his tail up, I think he will have a great career.

Sorry for the confusion about VA Beach. It is the VA Beach Kennel Club but the show is in Chesapeake, VA. It is an AKC show. Myrtle Beach Kennel club is the same weekend. Both shows close this week. Let me know if any of you are going to VA and I will enter. If not, I will go to SC. I don't care which one I go to as long as it is at the beach. Just get me away from this snow!

That's a "big weekend" with shows in several places:
April 28 & 29th - Claksville TN, Lake Waccamaw NC (inside horse ring), and Montgomery AL.
Montgomery AL starts on that Friday - 27th.
I am thinking of doing one of them with both Gigi (is Tsa-La-Gi too) and Easy, but not sure which show to go to yet.

Then in May is:
10th - 13th Perry GA - I plan to be here.
19th - 20th - Beaufort SC (outside) and Jackson TN
26th - 27th - Harriman TN - I might be here at this one. Depends on my schedule.

For June - anyone going to the Tampa or Orlando FL shows? I was thinking maybe and this way I can visit family.

I just got my premium list for the Oklahoma shows - May 17 - 20th. They will also have the Yorkshire Terrier Oklahoma Speciality show and includes the Central Oklahoma Toy Dog Show. Too far for me though.

These are all AKC shows.
