| A toy poodle was being carried out the back door of the grooming area this past weekend in Hickory NC folks! The person scoped them out in their playpen, knew exactly what they wanted and waited til' the end of BIS of the first show that day and grabbed the dog. Someone noticed this person and yelled out to them. The poodles themselves made someone take note...none in the pen were barking, only the one being carried off! The thief immediately released the dog, and ran away! Do not leave your dogs un-attended at shows! These crooks are getting brave. |

| Senior Yorkie Talker | I would be devastated! When we show, we never leave the dog alone for a minute. I carry them anywhere I go. (Even to the bathroom if someone I know can't watch them. You can't trust anyone nowdays. Ricki

| Tami - I just thought --- How easy it would be to register the stolen dogs with CKC (Continental). Maybe those people were thinking the same. Who knows. At least some changes with registrations (CKC) will be changing in Jan. and won't hopefully be as easy to register any dog.[/QUOTE] Those people will have to have a copy of the AKC registration or have a vet and another person swear they are full blooded yorkies. Wouldn't the vet check for a chip? Especially if someone brings in beautiful well groomed dogs and wants the vet to verify the breed for registration. The vet and other person have to complete the CKC paper work. I would think that would be a huge red flag! Such a sad situation! Whomever is responsible needs to be sent up for a long time when and if ever caught.

| She has been on the phone with the police and had the sheriff go to Robs house and there are cages all over the place, all the blinds are down, there were some larger dogs in the back yard, and the barking coming out of the house from lots of dogs. Rob no where in site. No van in site. If nobody is home, who is taking care of all those dogs? Are the police going to get involved at all? Animal Control? Is anybody going to check up on the dogs in the house? What a mess. I hope the missing dogs are all found soon; but what was this lady thinking giving her dog to somebody she didn't know anything about? I would of been tracking them down way before the theft occured. I'll keep my fingers crossed that they show up soon, or this Rob character is found. Can't she file a lawsuit against him? Michele |
