Donna, that is a sweet picture of Radar. I know you are so proud of him. You and Radar looked great in that Westminster video of the yorkie judging.

Hi Bonny,

Yes, I'll be in OKC at the specialty with Radar on Friday only and his kiddos all 3 days :) Would love to meet you as well :)

Radar is retired except for a couple of specialties this year.

Thanks Barbara! I was shocked to find these photos of him and there were two him LOL...we were back in the handlers sections so not many people came into our section but at least it wasn't crowded LOL and there was room to move around :) I thought he looked good but I think I got water in one of his ears and he was holding it back UGH...I forgot my ear cleaner but oh well at least he showed good LOL

Radar is gorgeous, and it is fun to see a candid pic. I am in love with his face....and the whole package! The two of you looked beautiful together in the ring. :)

May I ask a stupid question? Why are all the dogs in shows wearing 'red' bows? (so it seems)
Yes, Yorkies look great in red...but is it to keep them consistent and not distract the judge? (which seems reasonable to me)...knowing me, I'd probably put in some neon green bow!
Remember, I'm the one trying to learn a bit more about shows/showing and am the first to admit I know NOTHING about the show side.

Thank you everyone for the nice compliments on Radar! He's retiring from NY and All-Breed shows and it's been bittersweet and a little sad to see his end in the ring. But, now his proteges are coming in the ring soon I hope!

That is more than jet lag. I imagine you are exhausted after a whirlwind week. Glad you enjoyed and that you have a lot of special memories to cherish, and you have so much to look forward to with the pups.

When Radar fully retires from showing, are you going to keep his coat? I understand why many champions are cut down, but I don't think I could do it. :p

Wow, that is a lot of dogs in one area. Does it ever get out of hand? I know these are trained show dogs, but we all have a bad day sometimes.:)

the dogs are good, it's the millions of people that are there that get on my nerves LOL...it's usually elbow to elbow. Radar sleeps most of the time after he shows LOL...he's cute sometimes and sleeps on his back in his bed on top of the crate and everyone goes ooooo and awwww LOL

I went to a show in MD last year and one of the exhibitor members of YT was showing. The Yorkies and the large standard poodles were being groomed at the same time, in close proximity. Out of nowhere, one of the poodles jumped from her table onto a tiny Yorkie grooming table (thank goodness the Yorkie was elsewhere), and then nearly jumped onto the shoulders of the YT member. :eek: She remained perfectly calm during the whole incident, as did her Yorkie.

Awwww thanks Ann! He's made me proud and he's done well :)

Now for the grooming LOL...takes a lot of grooming and wrapping to make the coat that long LOL. I love to groom!! And I got lucky Radar has an exceptional coat :)

Radar has an absolutely beautiful face and silky coat. He is truly exquisite. I love the look on his face when he looks at his mom

Aww thank you Lisa! He's one spoiled boy! His son Bailey I'm afraid is going to be just like him LOL...Celi, his daughter is gonna be more independant LOL

Had to send one more LOL...he won't be showing in most shows anymore so I have to show him off as much as I can because these kinds of pictures will be very rare from now on LOL

I'm happy you like them, Donna. I was hoping to get something that you like. It wasn't very conducive to getting good photos due to the lighting and other distractions. I wanted to get something a bit sentimental for you. considering it's Radar's last show in New York :(.The bond and love that you two share is very beautiful, and it can be seen when I look at the photos of both of you. Radar is such a loving, magnificent little boy. If you want full resolution copies of my images, I can email them to your website or put them on a disc and mail them to you. Just let me know if there is anything that you want.
