Okay, printed off all the stuff I need. Went to bank got some US funds, great exchange rate (for a change)

Laundry is in. Called hotel made sure they had my reservations!. Just some ironing and packing to do. Groom Magic then I'm ready. Soooo looking forward to the show. I think I might take my big camera as well as my video......

Can you tell I'm excited

I got an unexpected day off today to finish up packing and gotta go get nails done and got the puppies food and Harvey's food for the hubby to feed em all when I'm gone and last minute things...OMG I'm taking too much I sure hope I don't forget anything! I'm getting excited too! I hope we aren't delayed or canceled in the morning but there is sunshine today after the ice and snow so keeping fingers crossed for tomorrow! I want to go now!!! LOL

Good luck to everyone!

I'm debating going to the specialty. I went once back in 2007 but didn't know anyone or talk to anyone. Just went to see what it was about. If i go this weekend I hope to meet some of you. When is it ok to come up to you and say hi? if i see you at your tables on the side? I don't want to bother anyone or get yelled at. LOL

I was also wanted to go to meet the breeds at the garden. Do i have to buy tickets for the whole show or can i just go to that? i've never been to a dog show before and I think it will be fun. Not to mention it will be great for my grooming skills.

Vs a vs the Garden. You could go to the Westminster Kennel Club site and see if there are price differences on the tickets. My advice is to go early, if you want to see the grooming and meet some breeders. Later on in the day, it gets very crowded. The grooming area is a separate area to where the benched area is. Look at what time the Yorkies are being shown, and arrive well in advance of that, as then they will be up on the tables in the grooming area being groomed for show.

In terms of the show at the New Yorker, seeing folks at their tables on the side and striking up a conversation is usually fine; but if in doubt, just ask if now is an ok time to talk? Some exhibitors are pretty nervous before showing and want to stay focussed on their dog and or looking at the dogs in the ring. If you buy a catalogue you will be able to follow the judging a little closer, and also see the names of the dogs and the exhibitors who are showing that day.

in NY and have already taken a carriage ride in Central Park, shopped at Tiffany's for my yearly charm I add to my Tiffany bracelet and now in my room in my PJ's getting ready to go to sleep and get ready for the next 4 days of dog shows...busy, busy, and more busy!!! I'll try and keep things posted as much as I can remember LOL...can't wait to meet Gail aka Gemy!

Ok so I attempted to make it to the show today but had bus problems and I arrived too late.

I was at the New Yorker in the afternoon but the yorkies had already finished and no body was around. I'm so mad i missed everyone. I did get to meet the number 2 standard poodle in the country and talked to them for a while (gorgeous dog). And I got to meet schmitty the weather dog LOL. he was adorable and so was his older friend, who's name i didn't catch.

Ok so can someone tell me if there is something yorkie related going on tomorrow and at what time so I can make sure I get there in time? I was hoping to meet some of the people here and see their beautiful yorkies. I did see a few people with yorkies walk through the lobby of the new yorker while i was there but i don't know what anyone looks like so i didn't want to appear like a psycho. LOL
