| Radar won breed today! He showed beautiful for Tonia again! The judge June Penta LOVED HIM!!! Only one thing the judge said was his coat needed to be cut LOL....told Tonia he had the most wonderful and correct coat texture but needed to be cut....I hate cutting his coat LOL...but Jessica cut it today before group! He didn't do anything in group but showed so good for his mommy! Thanks everyone for the well wishes!! Radar says Thank You! Donna |

| Aww Donna - I can't believe I didn't see this until now! CONGRATULATIONS Radar - Sonia - and you!!! BOB ain't too shabby Donna ![]() I love hearing how much you love Radar - whether he wins or not. Like you said - he's a winner in your eyes (and ours, too) but it's heartwarming to hear you say it - everytime you take him out!

FYI. Yes, some handlers are great with dogs and do a lot of winning. And it is very well known in the show world that a well known handler can finish a dead cat.....So, something to think about....is your dog winning because it is a good representation of the breed or is the "handler" racking up the points because of who they are. Judges get to know these handlers and will put up a handler and not the dog. Very political in the dog world. So, that being said, Handling is their business, so it's up to us as exhibitors to only show dogs that are the best of the best, not just rack up Champions to make a name for yourself. The one thing to remember when showing your dog....is not to be afraid of exhibiting against these handlers. If you've got a good dog...you shouldn't have to be. Oh! there is no satisfaction in showing your dog if you have to go to out of the way areas to Champion your dog because you're afraid of the competition. A dog that is worthy of being Championed should be able to be shown against good dogs.....no fear.

| Missing Yoshi Everyday! Donating Member | thanks for making that clear...wow that is crazy! but i do agree that it does defeat the purpose to champion your dog if you are scared... ok so this leads to my other questions...how many times do you attempt to show your "potential champion" before saying maybe he/she isn't the right material to be CH. I mean not everyone wins every time or fast to make it there...but what if you lose more than win on a particular dog? when is enough enough?
