Well, Roberta was such a classy lady. She could stay clean in a huricane. she always looked great!

Suggestion, don't pay a lot for your show clothes.....they do take a beating.

What I really would be concentrating on is obtaining your equipment, little by little....The cost of your show dog is not going to be cheap....so, it'll be a bit easier if you have most of your equipment out of the way....

I always wear a black or brown skirt but mostly a black skirt and I love to wear different color tops! My fav top is a black with blue and white flowers with turqouise :) I also love my white jacket that I got several months ago :)
I wear some ugly black shoes and on the search for a new pair LOL...I do wear a small heel at specialities and New York. I hardly ever wear pants unless it's really cold outside LOL...I was taught by the old time exhibitors to always wear a skirt and I kicked and screamed until I gave in and now I always wear one and actually showing dogs or weddings is the only time I wear a skirt or suit LOL

My aunt is going to sew them for me. She's a professional tailor. Makes it nice when i need formal wear!

Just thought I would comment on this because of all of the people on here bashing Susie. First off, none of you on here bashing her know her personally, so there is no reason to go saying things about her that are not true. She is very cautious about where her puppies go, and there have been some very concerning questions raised about the person that is wanting to buy this puppy from her. This person may or may not be who she says she is, but if she isn't, then at least Susie is not the one making the wrong choice here. She is only doing what is best for her puppy.

She has helped mentor me more than anyone I know, and has become a great friend to me in the process. She never has problems finding homes for her puppies, and she is not pushy like some of you are saying. Just because she advertises some of them on yorkietalk does not mean she is not a reputable breeder. Everyone handles their show prospects in different ways, and it just so happens that Susie does like to give people an honest chance. Everyone that has gotten into showing has had to start somewhere. If you are not given a chance at things in life, you will never succeed.

All I have to say is that Susie and I have talked & worked things out between us, so you don't need to keep bringing it up. I NEVER bashed her, I defended myself because SHE came on HERE and was saying bad things about me because I didn't buy one of her puppies. Someone suggested I might be some person named Amber who is apparently scamming people, but I am Brittani and I happily showed her a copy of my Drivers License AT MY SUGGESTION to prove I was who I said I was. But like everyone has said, this is NOT the place or the way to deal with this. So please, stop bringing it up!

KEEP bringing it up? This is the first time I have said anything on this subject :confused: There were people on here bashing her and it disturbed me because I know her very well. There is nothing wrong with standing up for someone you believe in..........:idontknow

I am glad you guys were able to work things out. I watched Susie and her dogs at the show in Louisville. They are very nice. Not only did her Stringer male win Winner's dog in the speciality but she was showing an adorable little girl in the puppy class for the very first time. i don't think Susie was trying to push the puppy off on you as you say because I was holding my breath here while you were trying to decide. i was next in line for him. I am getting that puppy and he will be in his first show in July when he is old enough. I respect your choice not to discusss this any longer so I will not be saying anything else about it. I wish you luck in the show ring. Mary is right. Don't pay a lot for your show clothese because they do take a beating. Gather your equipment first as suggested. Wait until you get ready to start showing then hit a few nice consignment shops.

I really suggest you go over the posts....no one was bashing her....This is a thread about finding a show yorkie....questions were being answered geared to that. Nothing was said until said person came out and actually outted herself on who the OP was considering getting a puppy from. Sue as you call her, came on bashing the OP poster. Which made us all wonder what her motives were....was she angry because the OP decided not to obtain said puppy? Who knows, the rest of us kept the thread on track and will continue to do so.
