				   | Not sure if Houston charges for tickets. But, they do sell catalogues.....which I recommend that you purchase. It's held at the Crowne Royal 12801 Northwest Hwy Exit @ Pinehurst off of 290.

				   | thanks for the info. hopefully I can make it. I am really mainly interested in the yorkies. would the breeders allow people to watch them get ready and maybe ask questions and stuff like that? is anyone on yorkietalk going? I would love to meet some of the breeders on here. |

I know that Donna/Brooklyn will be there attending the Toy Specialty on Saturday and Sunday.......I'm not sure if there are other exhibitors from this forum that will be attending.

				   | I think Trish Kulessa/Trishire's along with Ken Lambert/DeJaVu.....both are exhibitor/breeders handlers, and are located in OKC. In the Houston area not completely familiar with the members of the Houston Club. But, other breeder/exhibitors will be coming in from other parts of the country. At times Marie Cardona/Parkside (Puerto Rico) comes in and Jesus Guerrero (Mexico)/ Guemarts, Thedus Neal/Nealstar, Bill Hinds/Riverwalk is from San Antonio, Linda Thompson/LINJE's, Janice Watt/Cameo. At times California Breeders come in and from MO and ILL.

				   | Another person I would highly recommend that you speak to, although he's in San Antonio, is Bill Hinds.....he's a YTCA board member and a very knowledgeable yorkie person. I know that he's willing to help any newbie, as he feels that our mentor helped out newbies and it's his way of giving back.

				   | Okay, newbie to the whole showing aspect. I'm looking for a show prospect, a show mentor (talked to a few people), and plan on attending some shows before I start showing. But what I'm confussed on is what all the numbers mean in: Friday, August 21, 2009, Yorkie specialty 1 28 YORKSH TERR 12-14- 2-0 Friday, August 21, 2009, Yorkie specialty 2 30 YORKSH TERR 14-14- 2-0 11 SWEEPSTAKES Saturday, August 22, Toy Club show: 31 YORKSH TERR 12-16- 3-0 5 SWEEPSTAKES Saturday, August 23, Toy Club show: 24 YORKSH TERR 10-11- 3-0 3 SWEEPSTAKES If someone could explain what this means to me in edited dumb english so I can understand it I would love that.Coty

Friday; You have an entry of 28 Yorkies Inclusive in this entry is: first # - 12 dogs; second # 14 bitches; third # is 2 dog specials (Champions of record, competing for top yorkie in the country position); fourth # is 0 Bitch Specials..... So if you look at Saturday and Sunday the entry numbers increased. If you look at the bottom of Friday, Saturday and Sunday you'll see Sweepstakes....those are the number of puppies entered in the Sweeps. This is a non-pointing competition, but puppies vying for the Best Puppy. You have 6-9 months dogs/bitches. 9-12 month dogs/bitches and some Specialty shows that have 12-18 months. The 6-9 compete for best Junior puppy and 9-12 compete for best senior puppy. Then best junior and senior compete for Grand Sweeps....
