| ![]() I'm in Canada and I'm thinking of showing my Biewer in the IABCA show in September. I've been reading up on it...is it true that your dog can get the title of an international champion in a weekend? If they dont earn the full amount of points then what title do they get? Sorry, I'm new at this...I'd love for some Biewer showing guru to just explain everything that needs to be done at what titles you'd get where. Also, this may be a very stupid question and I think I know the answer but can one person show more than one dog of the same breed in the same age group and everything in the same show. THANKS ![]() |

| ![]() I am going to do my best to get up to that show! I know other Biewers will be there. There are 4 shows in a weekend. It is possible to earn your international title in one weekend. If you are showing a puppy you would need all judges to give your puppy a rating of SG1 for your national and international titles, for this you are given an orange card. If 3 of the 4 give you a SG1 you earn just the national title, if you get 2 SG1 ratings then you have not earned a title and you would have to show again to try to earn one. There are 4 puppy titles that can be earned (3-6 month, 6-9, 9-12, 12-15) For an adult you need 3 ratings of V1 to earn each title, you start with trying for your international title and then can earn up to 17 more titles. If you get a V2 rating that is ok for a national title but only for that title. Adult is a little different because you try for your international first and then your national and then it goes into all the different levels. So for puppy you need 4 orange cards with a SG1 and for an adult you need 3 with a V1. More then one dog in each class can earn the SG1 or V1 rating. They would be ranked SG1a, SG1b, SG1c, etc. as long as the orange card says SG1 or V1 it counts the letters just stand for your place in class. As far as showing more then one, as long as you have the handlers you can show. So if you are trying to show 2 dogs in the same class you need someone to walk each at the same time. If you are showing in different age classes and all dogs win their class you will need a handler to help bring dogs back in for breed competition. Most of the time other Biewer owners are friendly and if they are not in the ring themselves they will help out and walk the dog around for you if you have extras needing someone on the end of the lead. Hopefully that all made sense, let me know if you have anymore questions. |
