I hope Rose does not mind - but yes, I saw Blu's pedigree and he does have some of Ava's dogs in his pedigree and it is a nice one. Doctor Detroit is Blu's great-grandsire on his sire's side. And his get is Cantlon's Medicine Man (which just recently passed) is Blu's grandsire.
Blu is a cutie and hopefully should do very well. He just needs to mature more and keep up with the practice to compete with the big boys. But he is doing very well. Go Rose and Blu!

Rose's boy took first class in the puppy class at the Louisville show today. it was his first AKC show and he beat some pretty high steppin' people. he even beat the lady with the yorkie that won the Puppy Class in the Speciality on Wednesday. First off, Congratulations Rose!!!!

We had our puppy in the 9-12 class and that was my husband who was handling. He does show our papillons and a few dogs for others, but he is not a "real handler" LOL. Boy, he will be SO excited to have people think he is an actual handler And the other gal in the class just starting showing a few weeks ago, a very sweet girl with a very nice dog (the one that won his puppy sweeps class). I did not get to see the yorkies otherwise because I was off running the paps in agility at the same time.

I only got to show Ricky Bobby on Wednesday-- and he was a total mess trying to get to another dog's squeaky toy and did really poorly in sweeps and only marginally better in his regular class, he was being a total butthead. I have to get used to this terrier side of his personality, my paps are way easier to show, if you can keep all 4 of their feet on the ground. Were you there on Wednesday? The other days I was Ricky's groomer and then took off to run my kids around the agility ring...

You tell your hubby he can play pro any time. he did a great job. BTW, Rose is the one that told me he is a handler. LOL Tell him to smile when he sees old ladies with cameras from now on.!

I will do that (but I will leave out the old ladies part because I am guessing it ain't true)! He really would love to be able to handle professionally, but unfortunately it takes forever to get established. I am also not real keen on having a zillion different dogs in and out of the house, especially if we have litters planned. He is far better at showing the dogs than I am but there are some I am stubborn about and insist on showing myself, generally the ones I am also training to do obedience or agility as well as the breed ring.
