I really like Ditto but Ava looks like from the pictures that she's gonna have more of the silk coat. Pretty babies with beautiful faces! Good Luck!

Awwwww that's cool! Getting an ROM for the YTCA is a goal of mine and one day if I continue to breed I hope I can achieve an ROM for the YTCA on one of my dogs!

Thanks Rose and Donna!
I am pretty confident that Ditto is silky, his coat separates like the silky puppies do and he is already breaking to a deep blue on his back. Ava on the other hand...her coat on her rear is thick and a little dry feeling. But both are staying here for a a few months at the very least. So we will see what happens...it would be nice if they are both silky, their parents are...lol.

Well I couldn't see Ava's rear LOL....I've had them break early and still be soft coated LOL...
But you know in my personal opinion I do of course prefer a silk coat but wouldn't hold a soft coat against the dog....I'm a structure and movement freak and how the dog is put together first and foremost the silk comes second to me in my opinion...so even if the pups are what I call a modified silk wouldn't keep me from showing them and using them in my breeding program

Hope you do Donna. That YTCA ROM is a goal of mine too.

I know that Dogs require 6 Champions and Bitches 3.....without looking it up what the other requirements are....do you off hand?

Charmer's got 2 Champs under his belt......and 2 in the ring right now....that means only 2 more for him.....

Go-Go has 2 in the ring right now, that means 1 more and she'll have her ROM.

LOL too funny! You know I do not mind a soft female but would prefer my males to have good silk coats, or I would have kept Magic. He had a lovely structure and a flawless topline...but that coat would have made me nuts...lol We weren't planning on holding back a girl and a boy from this litter but I think we would be crazy not to watch them both.

It seems like the ones you aren't planning on are the ones that turn out to be gems. I have a feeling that will apply to both Gidget and Ava. It will be fun to watch these pups grow up together.

Well I thought it took 4 for the bitch and 6 for the male to get an ROM for the YTCA but see I guess I need to go look instead of think LOL....but I do know in order to get an ROM you have to be a member and owner or breeder or both of the parent club. Am I correct?
