| ![]() I saw go for it! You might even try traveling further away for shows when you're able to as well. Also, the past couple of shows I've been to, most of the tails were carried very high.

| ![]() You are all too funny!! I tend to be too serious...about this anyway. It's hard to handle the surprise of certain traits when you weren't expecting them. 15 years ago, I had seen a few tails that way and was told they were called gay tails. I never like them. BUT I was really surprise when my little shy puppy showed her attitude and up up and over went the tail the happier she got. Almost can touch her back when she is sporting her favorite toys! I never thought I'd have to calm my Yorkie down to get a nice profile ![]() So, I don't think I'll give her away to any of you, sorry...because my husband and children have fallen in love. Has anyone ever heard of re-docking the tail? Please don't let me scare you! I am not serious about it. But, I'd heard that it is very painful at this age. Also, I watched a dog show in Moscow on U tube and noticed almost all the Yorkies there have maltese tails, and s**tzu tails...just like I fear my little Daisy will have. Check it out. the style is very interesting there. One more thing. I hear the Yorkies now are much more leggy than they used to be. REALLY LEGGY. I have the smaller compact package which I also fear will make me a big looser unless the "trend" changes again. Does anyone have a list of judges that likes "compact"? Personally I like the compact body as the standard says, so that is why I chose her 'type'. Lisa |

| ![]() I posted a reply and it's not showing up? I saw a "blip" on my screen about it now showing up but it went by so fast I couldn't even finish reading it. Does anyone know what that is that I saw? |

| ![]() Carly is leggie with a gay tail and I just love it. The gal that I just sold into a show home is also leggie with a gay tail. The leggie ones more with such grace, I think that's why they're so popular right now. The only way to know how your gal will do in the ring is to put her in. She's so young right now, give her some time to grow up. You may end up delighted with what you have.

He is a stunning dog and has the best gait and perfect knees and wonderful silk over a dead level top-line. So, by comparing your puppies gay tail to Oscars, you have nothing to worry about!!! I would not hesitate to start showing again. Your puppy is very nice. | |

| ![]() Hi and Welcome! You might PM Sonja, Tx2stepn (think that's it). She has a list of a lot of judges and what they prefer and also some you might want to avoid... lol She's very nice and I'm sure could be of some help to you. LIke others have suggested, get out there and have fun! You certainly won't be the only one with a gay tail...there's lots of them out there. If she's got the body and the movement, that little tail won't make much difference. Good luck to you!

| ![]() Yorkie's have changed over the years but a "cobby" Yorkie is correct and judges are much more likely to put up that type. When evaluating a show prospect, it is important to consider if he can do the job he was bred to do. It should be important to us because it is important to judges. These little terriers were bred as ratters and need to have a strong, sturdy body to do the job. |

| ![]() Forgive me if my post seemed unkind or appeared to question the quality of anyones dogs. It wasn't meant to do that at all. I only wanted to encourage Lili and and her choice of type. We all have beautiful dogs and our type is a personally choice. The love of my life is a 4 1/2 lb boy that can only capture hearts! |

| ![]() I love a yorkie with legs and height LOL...short and cobby bitches worry me when breeding, so I like personally a yorkie up on leg and I just have to find judges that like the type of yorkie I show lol, not an easy feat until you get out there ![]() |
