| long coat Hi, I am not new to showing, but new to Yorkies. How do you keep a long coated boy from soiling his coat when doing a wee??? Are there coats and clothes to protect the front part, like in Afghans? Need to know these things to be prepared and have all ready when my Yorkie eventually comes into the house. Thanks for all tips! |

| Different exhibitors do different things depending on the coat type of the dog. My mentor uses diapers, a friend wraps paper towels around her's long penis hair, and I pull Connor's up on his back during the day. I used to wrap but his coat breaks a bit too easily for that and the other dogs play a bit rough sometimes. You just have to try different things until you find what works for you and your dog. I keep Connor is heavy oil as well.
