He is at Ava's house. T. |
1 Attachment(s) Well, I have good news and bad news about Easy. She was at the YTC of Oklahoma Speciality show today and took her class: Open class - out of 8 bitches! Go Ken!! He is handling her right now. And Easy just loves him. But no points since the Bred-by beat her. But this is her first time out with Ken and a Speciality to boot! So I am very pleased. :-) Ken is sure she can finish. Yea!!! T. I have included a photo of her. Just a very casual pic. She is the one on my avitar. |
Tina, congratulation on the big class win. She is beautiful. I am sure she will have no problems finishing. |

OK...you talked me into sending in my recent hopeful puppy. I'm still having my doubts and disappointments. Please feel free to give me any honest feedback. I don't want to hang on to hope if there isn't any:) She's a wonderful and VERY smart little puppy! Fastest potty trained Yorkie I've ever known! |

She has some white on her chest...yes:( The chin is light gold. The lighting in the picture makes the gold look white but it's lighter gold. The white is a about a quarter size and I think that is ok...and I'm hoping or thinking it'll cover with llooooonggg gold chin facial hair:) But, you tell me...will it be ok to have some white under the chin/chest area? She is 19 weeks. She comes from a slow growing line which is to her benefit right now. Although, I think she could end up too small. We are hoping 4.5 to 5 lbs. I won't be surprised if we can't reach that. I like her face too, but I'm more interested in her structural qualities at this point. She is low in the shoulders when she moves. She's pretty even when stacked, but it tells me there is something throwing off the top line when moving. Probably not enough drive or lay back in the shoulders. I'm hoping for more leg and neck, but doubt that will change too much. Quote:

1 Attachment(s) Here is a photo of Knight at 11 weeks. I am still hopeful about him. And then you guys know about Easy, Prize and Frida. Easy is off to a great start, so hopefully in a month or two she will be finished. Easy has another show this weekend (4 days). Keep fingers crossed! T. |
2 Attachment(s) Here are some picks you can see her chin and chest better. Tell me what you think of the area that is pale/whitish. Will that be ok? Quote:

I have several breeders that have seen her. Most of the input is positive. More positive than my own opinion. So, either I'm looking for perfection, or they aren't being as honest as I'd like:) or...the Yorkies in this area aren't that great to begin with?? 1 of my best friends has been breeding for 30 years and we go to class together. She thinks she's coming along nice but has also seen her up weeks, and down weeks. At this point, she thinks she'll be competitive in our area. But, again, she has some good weeks and some bad weeks in my opinion. 1 week I like her, the next week...I would prefer to start over and buy a new show puppy. We'll keep her as our pet of course. At this point, I just have to wait it out. I think her best features right now are her face, coat, front movement and attitude. The rest will have to improve to convince me to bring her in the ring. These guys can keep us guessing for so long, I think she looks very well put together! Have you started her on a lead yet? She stands very nice for you! |

Yes, she is on a lead and free stacks amazingly well for her age. When I brought her home, she would squeal and howl when I first put the lead on her and within a couple of practices, she was walking proud. I've had 5 show Yorkies in my past, and this one is by FAR the most exhuberant on the lead. She isn't "hyper" she is just so excited to be showing off...for treats of course:) I took her to class last night and she amazed both my breeder friend and I so I'm feeling more hopeful today. I'd still like to see more leg on her so I hope she will "square up" a little bit. She seems to do better freely stacking herself than when I manipulate her to stack she gets kind of "limp" . We'll keep practicing that. Do ya all ever let your Yorkies free stack in the show ring? What do judges think of that? I was alway too embarassed to stay standing when everyone else was down even if my Yorkies did it better themselves. Does anyone have any experience with that? |

Ok, here come some pics of my girls, first two show my Ch. bitch Sweet Magic´s Always On My Mind with 3 years of age, the other two our youngster Ari, daughter of Any and Ch. Durrer´s Exclusive Priority (first with 5 months, second with 12 months of age). Ari is very promising and is starting off her show career, she´s on her way to Ger. Jr. Ch of our Club and of VDH and just got the Cz Club Jr Ch with 11 months, we are very proud on her as Any´s first offspring! Hope you enjoy the pictures! |
4 Attachment(s) Oh I think something was wrong with my PC, here are the pics: |
OMG, I am in love....your bitch is stunning and your baby is gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing. Can you tell us how you grow such a gorgeous coat. Do you wrap yours or just keep them in oil or both? What type of food do your feed? |
1 Attachment(s) Thank you so much for your compliments!! Yes I do both, I start oiling when they´re just 3 months old and put in the first wraps with about half an year, depends on the coat, the girl in the second and third pic was totally wrapped when she was 5 months old, cause she has very much heavy silk coat, but this is very early for wrapping. I bath them every two weeks and oil them after bathing when they´re still wet, so that every single hair gets protection while blowing. Then I wrap. I redo the wraps on head all three days and rewrap completely once a week. For wrapping I use the Ice on Ice Conditioner by CC in combination with wrapping oil (at the moment shea butter oil). At the end I put a wrapping jacket on them and some socks at the hind quarters, when they decide to have a little scratch:-) Here is a pic of my girl in wraps: |

I am always checking to see how well they are doing! I fell in love with your Any when she was just a puppy. |
Thank you all for your compliments on my girls!! @Jackie: Thank you so much, I´m so happy to hear this! Yes Any was also a very nice little puppy, time goes by such fast, this year she will be 4 in July and is new Mommy of three puppies:), but she is still in wraps, I hope to show her again after raising her litter! |

That is fabulous...congratulations on your new litter!!! I am sure they will be spectacular! Did you repeat Ari's breeding? They seem to be a perfect match! Best of luck with them! |
Simone....thank you so much for the pictures of you dog in wraps and the informaion. I do want to say too that I love the long tails. I wish so much that we did not have to dock the tails over here. Best of luck in the ring with your girl. Please keep us posted on her progress. Also, if you don't mind me asking, who are the parents of Sweet Magic's Always On My Mind? |
