| Too me it does not look like too much but I am not an expert. She sure is pretty. Maybe you could find a show person in your area to evaluate her. |

| I have several breeders that have seen her. Most of the input is positive. More positive than my own opinion. So, either I'm looking for perfection, or they aren't being as honest as I'd like or...the Yorkies in this area aren't that great to begin with?? 1 of my best friends has been breeding for 30 years and we go to class together. She thinks she's coming along nice but has also seen her up weeks, and down weeks. At this point, she thinks she'll be competitive in our area. But, again, she has some good weeks and some bad weeks in my opinion. 1 week I like her, the next week...I would prefer to start over and buy a new show puppy. We'll keep her as our pet of course. At this point, I just have to wait it out. I think her best features right now are her face, coat, front movement and attitude. The rest will have to improve to convince me to bring her in the ring. These guys can keep us guessing for so long, I think she looks very well put together! Have you started her on a lead yet? She stands very nice for you!

Yes, she is on a lead and free stacks amazingly well for her age. When I brought her home, she would squeal and howl when I first put the lead on her and within a couple of practices, she was walking proud. I've had 5 show Yorkies in my past, and this one is by FAR the most exhuberant on the lead. She isn't "hyper" she is just so excited to be showing off...for treats of course I took her to class last night and she amazed both my breeder friend and I so I'm feeling more hopeful today. I'd still like to see more leg on her so I hope she will "square up" a little bit. She seems to do better freely stacking herself than when I manipulate her to stack she gets kind of "limp" . We'll keep practicing that. Do ya all ever let your Yorkies free stack in the show ring? What do judges think of that? I was alway too embarassed to stay standing when everyone else was down even if my Yorkies did it better themselves. Does anyone have any experience with that? | |

| OMG, I am in love....your bitch is stunning and your baby is gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing. Can you tell us how you grow such a gorgeous coat. Do you wrap yours or just keep them in oil or both? What type of food do your feed? Last edited by bjh; 05-23-2008 at 08:51 AM. |

| Thank you so much for your compliments!! Yes I do both, I start oiling when they´re just 3 months old and put in the first wraps with about half an year, depends on the coat, the girl in the second and third pic was totally wrapped when she was 5 months old, cause she has very much heavy silk coat, but this is very early for wrapping. I bath them every two weeks and oil them after bathing when they´re still wet, so that every single hair gets protection while blowing. Then I wrap. I redo the wraps on head all three days and rewrap completely once a week. For wrapping I use the Ice on Ice Conditioner by CC in combination with wrapping oil (at the moment shea butter oil). At the end I put a wrapping jacket on them and some socks at the hind quarters, when they decide to have a little scratch:-) Here is a pic of my girl in wraps:

| Simone....thank you so much for the pictures of you dog in wraps and the informaion. I do want to say too that I love the long tails. I wish so much that we did not have to dock the tails over here. Best of luck in the ring with your girl. Please keep us posted on her progress. Also, if you don't mind me asking, who are the parents of Sweet Magic's Always On My Mind? |
