So happy you found your show girl, Shirley. We're all anxious to hear all about her and see pictures. Congratulations! I know you're going to have lots of fun!! |
PICTURES PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!!!!!! Congrats on your new show girl!!!!:) :) |
How did you keep that secret? When I get a new show dog I want to shout about it. I talked with a couple of people last night that were there and they said they were having a wonderful time. They said that Sandra Goose Allen was very gracious. She truly is one of my favorites. Did you go to the Red Bow Society dinner? Welcome. I am sure you will be a great addition to the sport. How far are you from Knoxville? There is always a good entry at the Nov show. There were majors last year. |
We need all the details and pictures!!!! Congrats!! |
Omg... You have NO IDEA how hard this has been......I wanted to shout from the roof tops....but, wanted to bring her out when she/I was ready. Well, she is a nut....and fun, and sweet....and pretty....she fits right in at our house.. We did want her to make her "debut" in Louisville, for no other reason that this was a Specialty, and I thought that would be fun..... I have not had her to handling classes yet, and so she needs to quit being a puppy....lol....if you know what I mean. She did get a ribbon in the first show....but, not the second....the judge made the comment" what, is she 6 mos old? and Becki replied.....no, she is 6 mos and 3 days....lol... But, I did have a very respected breeder comment to me that she was a nice puppy......and I did not even ask her to look at her......that made me smile. |
No....did not Quote:
I did not go to the dinner....I dont think many people know me well yet.....I think Becki mentioned that someone commented about getting together at dinner....but no one said anything to me.....oh well.....that is the only thing I hate....,being new....and not having a mentor......but, I do have a few good friends to help me...so I am fortunate...:) |
It is hard being the newbie, I've only been showing for for 15 months. It takes a while for some people to warm up but I kinda gravitate to the other newbies and make friends there first. I hate cliques so I try to talk to everyone but I do find that the other newer exhibitors are alot more open. Hopefully you will find yourself a Laurie, she's good at bringing people together. |
Oh, I hear ya You would think with the fact that I have been to 98% of the shows in the South over the last almost 3 years....learning Yorkies, and all that goes with showing.....that they would know I was NOT a fly by nite....LOL.... In defense of all that....it is a very busy time at the ringside...so, it does not surprise me that I am NOT the center of anyone else"s universe...LOL....althougth, I would like to think I was....Roflmao! But, it is ok.....I am big girl.....I will plug away. I did meet two other newbies...that were so very nice...and the more I go to now with a Yorkie the better.... Laurie? Is that your mentor? I dont know names on here...just member names...... OBTW.....my girl's name is "Paddy" (nik name) |

They show in TN more than I do. Let me know when you are doing to you next show and I will give them a heads up. I will be in TN in Nov. Maybe I can convince Tami to come along with me. |
Congratulations!!! looking forward to pics!!:animal-pa |

That would be wonderful Laurie and Tami....thanks for you offer of help....that is so very nice of you both. I never thought I would be intimidated at a show....but, darn there were some very "tenured" people there...and it is a different story when you are there instead of being on the sidelines taking notes...LOL. |
Here's a pic of Paddy 2 Attachment(s) Jan and Carol...what did they look like...? I had to have Mary Ross show me who everyone was...so, I did see some of the breeders that post in the YT magazine....that was pretty neat... I live outside Murfreesboro...about 2.5 hrs from Knox......I travel a bit so going to shows is no big deal as far as traveling goes... Here she is I think.....This is not me with her...it is my friend Becki.....sorry about the pics, I am def not a photographer! |

Tami - Mary ask if you were going to be in Manasass for the supported entry. I think she is trying to take a count to see if there will be a major. |
Ha ha ha ha.... Quote:
Oh really??? ha ha ha...I had no idea...I just felt it would be all yorkies so less stress for Paddy.....Ha....guess I do need a mentor...he he he.... |
paddy is beautiful. You are far braver than I am.:p |
