| Head and Beard Area... Another Question for all of U that show U're dolls...I have Sir. Galahad who is now 20 Months Old and his head was so beautiful but in the past few months I've noticed it's gotten so so harsh and brittle. I even cut his coat around his eyes and between his ears to try to help it. What do U all use to keep thier coats for getting so dry and brittle? And what do U use to just clean their beards off after eating? I want them to have beautiful coats and trying to grow one isn't as easy as everyone thinks. It take a lot of work to get it that way. Can anyone give me tips on trying to get them so pretty and KEEPING them that way? Do I put oil on him if so what is the best kind? Do I do it every single morning or ?? time a week? None are long enough to wrap yet. U can go view them on our website and see how their coats are growing. Just go to the photo galleries page and click on the play room or on each of their names and U can view them. We have Teddy, Sir. Galahad, Sage, Sofie and Weezie. Any help would be loved and cherished. |

if you are trying to show, you should never have cut their face hair at all. order you some Protect a Coat from the Summerwind website. It is a light show oil and is great. I keep my girl in oil almost all the time. You put it in, do not rinse, blow dry and after a couple of days wash it out with a clarifying shampoo and put it back in. | |

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | Summerwind Protect a Coat is a great product......when I brought Frankie (silky) home his coat was not in very good shape....I started using this product and 3 months later I see alot of improvement in the texture of this coat and it is beginning to grow again. Frankie licks his face really bad, so I also use a little Chris Christenson oil morning and night and brush out that area many times a day.....and that seems to be helping. (Same thing for the ends of his hair that get tinkled on.)
