next weekend - Jan. 19 & 20 - in Des Moines at the Iowa State Fairgrounds.

Wondering if any YT exhibitors will be there? Would love to see you & your beautiful dogs.

Also, this will be my first time to see a live dog show - any advice for a newcomber - I've been reading the local club's site.

Lastly, anyone else around here planning to go? I've asked Suzy to join me - so we'll see who else wants to experience this.

I seriously thought about doing this show and I just didn't think I could. We've got a 4 day show coming up in 2 weeks in St. Joseph, MO. and that will pretty much wipe me out.

Enjoy yourself though!!

Yes, we went on Saturday - would have loved to have you join us. It was a bit crowded as you can imagine inside the 4-H bldg. Can't imagine what it would have been like if the weather had been good.

We had fun walking around looking at all the different breeds being groomed. The yorkies there were just beautiful and we got to talk to several of the yorkie breeders who were showing their dogs. We watched the yorkies and several other breeds in the show ring. Neither of us had been to a show before - so we were definitely novices figuring everything out -

I was disappointed that they only had one person set up selling products - and the one thing I wanted he was out of. They were giving out free hot chocolate which was a good thing considering how cold it was.
