Rescue From Tx Needing New Home

I've been watching this thread. I KNOW you will find a good home for her. Please don't have second thoughts! The right person (pepe mints aunt or not ) will come along, in the meantime you are learning alot about this little girls personality which you can pass on to her forever home.

I think what bothers me is that she'd be out of the situation regardless - whether I took her or whether they put her down. Now however, I can't do much more for her and we're in a bind.... when in actuality, I feel like I helped the stupid mill by giving them $100 and taking a pup off their hands so they have room for another to torture for the next 4-5 years.

Awww, I understand that. Hopefully, she'll be in her forever home soon. As far as the next pup they torture, they'd be able to do that no matter what you had done.

Any chance those horrible people are breaking enough rules that reporting them might put a stop to what they are doing???

And the little girl will be thankful when she's made it home. I swear, Bernie share's his love and gratitude with me a hundred times a day...yes, he could've been put to sleep, that was the plan...but seeing how happy he is every day makes me KNOW the right decision was made.

I don't know. I don't know anything about them - even their names. I just wanted the dog out of the situation - that was my focus. Hubby's already lectured me about that, "Look, I don't mind you rescuing dogs, but next time, at least get SOME info about them so we can turn them in!"

I do think she'll be a good, happy dog - She's already getting there. But still, unless someone can take her and give her the TLC she needs, she's not going to have the life she deserves.

We took Bogey in a while back. He had been neglected in his previous home - they were gone all the time and just didn't have time for him. That's why they were getting rid of him... He's turned into the sweetest dog, EVER, and hubby and I agree that was the best decision we've ever made. Though even Bogey tells us sometimes that we're just not giving him enough attention.

Looks like lots of people in different states would take her if they lived closer...maybe yorkie talk could pull together like in the past and have her shipped through members to her new location?? A YT train!!

I'd be OK with that, but I won't put her in a little box and ship her on a plane or something. But if YTers were going to watch her and care for her and love on her, I'd let her travel.

Does anyone *not* here want her? And if so, anyone taking a trip soon?

And as an added thought, I'll be headed to Jasper in about 2 weeks if anyone from the deep south is interested.... though I'd really rather not keep her here that long if possible.

She gave birth about 7-8 weeks ago. If she is pregnant, it's too soon to tell. The vet highly doubts it though.

Maybe. But not quiet yet - I want to wait and see if I hear *anything* from pepe mint's aunt. Even if it's an "I'm not ready"... I want to hear *something*...

That would account for her tummy and teats. I sent a link to United Yorkie Rescue and they are wonderful.

What??? I can't for the life of me imagine why. This poor little thing needs a home.

Oh well, maybe the aunt is just taking her time with a tough decision...shows that she's responsible (great trait in a forever-mommy)
