| I am sooo sorry for the delay in getting back with everyone! I have been over my head studying for an exam this morning - it was a killer, but I'm very glad that I was as prepared as I was. Yes, I do still have Angel - No one has contacted me about wanting her yet. I'll PM the one wanting a phone number in a few minutes. Angel is doing really well - she definitely knows her name and although she still doesn't tell us she needs to potty, she is doing much, much better about going OUTSIDE. She is crate trained though and will tell us if she's in the crate (which is rare for us to do). If she's not in the crate, she's learning to trust that we're going to get her out, and she holds it. Once she even used Bogey's pee pad. Not sure how she knew to go there, but she did. I was very impressed. She's getting fed up with Bogey's humping on her - but we've been checking her regularly to make extra, extra sure that she's not in heat. I don't know what we're going to do if she does go in heat - I sure don't want her to end up pregnant. Hopefully she'll hold off until either we can get her fixed or until she goes to her new home. Is 5 years not too old to get her fixed? My vet didn't say "no", but he did kinda mention that there's a lot more problems and it's more risky if they're older like this. Have ya'll gotten older ones fixed? Just wondering - I don't want to HURT the baby by trying to HELP her. Also, how old before they stop going into heat? Pixie's my first dog, and I don't know things that we haven't dealt with her on. When she goes through something, I research it fully, but she's not old enough for me to know much about older dogs. And I sure haven't had much time lately for researching things that I *want* to. Hah! And as for us keeping her, if the situation and timing were better, yes, we probably would. Unfortunately, we can't even keep our 2-legged kid right now. And another of our dogs is in someone else's care, too. Things will be better in the coming months, but until then, Angel deserves better. My husband has even mentioned that "I don't think anyone wants her, I guess we'll just have to keep her" with a grin... but he knows as well as I do that it's really not possible. We would really, really love to keep her. We've gotten attached and love her dearly. We just can't.

| Hey Lopsi Hey there Lopsi. It's a GREAT thing you did. Just wondering if you considered if no one here takes her maybe surrendering her to a good Yorkie rescue. It would take the burden off of you in having to screen strangers. I know you have a couple of hundred invested that you're trying to get back, but although you may not ever recover that money, you'll have the good feeling of knowing you did a wonderful thing. I know I had a kitten that was abandon and he was only about two weeks old. It cost me a fortune for the five weeks of bottle feeding him special formula, plus the vet bill in getting him healthy. I never recouped any of the money but felt good knowing he's found a forever home. Just a thought. Elaine |

| That would definitely make up my mind about going to OKC... and if this really is a sweet little lady who's really been wanting a little girl yorkie that KNOWS her problems (needs dental and not fixed and came from puppymill) and really, really wants her. NOT for breeding, etc - I'd be willing to lower the price for her. We're really not in it for the money - yeah, we'd like some back and we need it, but we're more worried about Angel going to the best home possible.

| yorkie rescue Prayers that this little girl gets the wonderful home she deserves... can this potential adoption person afford the veterinary care the little one needs? Offer still stands for contacting the Texas branch of Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue.yorkierescue.com. The yorkie will get the medical care she needs and we screen our adoption applicants very well. Roxanne in NC

| Me too - I sure hope something works out soon. Yeah, I could take her to the rescue... and it may come down to it that we have to, but I really want to avoid that if possible. I know she'd be cared for, but I'd like to see her go somewhere that we can at least see pics of her in the future and hear updates.
