I'm not "planning to adopt him". I JUST DID!!! he's now settling into his new home with his new sibling. he's so nice and good. i can't believe someone just dropped him off at the shelter and i can't believe the shelter was just going to put him down! well, i'm thankful for the rescue lady, Pali of SF's Rocket Dog Rescue and Emily for posting this thread to start! And now I'm home with two happy yorkies!!!

Short version of the story:

the rescue yorkie was dropped off at a shelter's night drop. a week ago, because he nipped a male volunteer, they were going to put him down. Pali, the founder of Rocket Dog Rescue, rescued him the day he was to be put down, along with another dog. Emily a new member on YT posted both dog's information and helped me connect with Pali. After a few phone calls and today's meeting between Bunjee and the rescue, I filled out the paperwork and the rescue, now named Bubba, is happily home with me and Bunjee.

Now you have to answer the question posed in my book, "If you and your pet could communicate by paper what would you say to each other?" And also take a photo of you and your family with Bunjee and Bubba and then put it in the book so you can be the 59th family! That is what the book is all about - including all the amazing pet families out there!! I cannot wait to meet you all this Sunday at the book signing - this is my first animal matchmaking effort and I feel so blessed that it worked out for everyone. Boomer and Andy are going to get lots of love and treats tonight!!

Everyone - Pali said that when Marcello (now Bubba) met Bunjee and his mom, he knew right away that this would be his new family and fell in love with his new mommy right away!!

This is one of the good stories - and may we all be able to prevent shelter dogs in the future and provide all animals with a loving environment!

Great job posting the story and information, as this thread shows, there's a LOT of interest in Yorkie rescues in California, feel free to post any and all Yorkie/Yorkie mix rescues here! Maybe YorkieTalkers can provide forever homes for some more rescues.

Today has been the BEST DAY for the THREE of US so far with many many more to come!!! Here's a picture of the both of them! and I'm gonna start a new thread for them in the My Yorkie! Section. I wanna hug and give a big wet one to everyone who help make this possible!
