				 | I'm so sorry you are going through this with your mother. My mother also had that horrid disease and it is hell oh the victim as well as her family. Beau would do well if you gave him to a rescue. They will take the time to screen potential owners as well as finding a good foster home until he is adopted. You have enough to worry about right now so let one of them handle it for you. God bless you and your mother. |

				 | Thank you everyone. I submitted the form for Save a Yorkie & will go from there. I've asked everyone I know. I'm taking Mom out to lunch tomorrow & stop at the house so she can see Beau. I just hope he don't pout for 3 days & not leave the couch after seeing her. My Mom hates being in a home - she calls it a jail. Cries all the time. |

				 | Ideally, you would find a way to keep your mother and her companion (Beau) together the most possible instead of separating them... Pets are the best therapy a person can get... I don't intent to overrule your decisions, just suggesting to consider any resource available before separating them. There's home-health agencies that work with gobernment insurances like Medicare etc... Best wishes

				 | Just seeing this. I am so sorry for all you are going through. I have an idea about a couple who adopted from me and moved to PA a couple of years ago from TX. They are great pet owners. I don't know if they might be interested in another. I will contact them tomorrow.

				 | I am so sorry for all you are going through. It would be wonderful if your mom and Beau wouldn't have to be separated but if it must be, I hope you find him a loving home. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

				 | Beau has a home! I submitted a form to Save a Yorkie & within 12 hours received a phone call that they would take him. They had a foster home for Beau until adopted & giving to them on Saturday. I brought my Mom home yesterday to spend the day with Beau & have her good bye. She was upset not knowing if she would never know what happened to him. Dogs can visit the nursing home as long as they have shot records & such so we took Beau to the home when I took her back last night so everyone could see him. Her night nurse that gives her insulin shots & meds wanted him. After lots of talking my Mom let her have him. i think it's going to work out great. The director, asst director at the home all have Yorkies. And they bring to work once a week or so - the patients love it - a therapy dog. The nurse plans on taking Beau to work once in a while & can have visits with my Mom. And bring her pictures. The nurse was off today so she picked him up at my Mom's room. My Mom forgot all about yesterday & we had to go through it all over again that Beau was going to a new home. Ugh! But in the end she does feel better knowing she'll get to see Beau once in a while. It was heartbreaking but the staff seen how hard it was too on my Mom & it's so family oriented - they will be extra special with her about this too. I'm hoping my Mom will accept the home better now too as she will be more connected with the home that it's her family & new home. I count it as an answer to prayer. But when I called the Yorkie rescue they was not happy about it. They were worried what kind of home I gave Beau & I didn't investigate & such. I already told the nurse if Beau don't work out, please give him back. We'll find another home. She said no way, he's hers. He's following her around already & sitting with her the minute she sits down. She's in heaven she says. I think everything will work out just fine. And if my Mom could see him once in a while when she brings him to work it couldn't be more perfect. As the director says, he don't even like the name personal care home. It's their home & should be called home of personal care. It's a YORKIES RULE personal care home to me. |

| Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am so glad you found a home for Beau and one where your Mom will still be able to see him once in awhile. Seeing how she works there you can keep tabs on how he is doing in his new home.

				 | It sounds like a great solution, and I hope it works out well in the long run especially for the little Yorkie. It may help to ease your mom's dislike of being in a home.

				 | Sounds to me like it's all working out in the end! And it's a great solution, if the nurse brings Beau in sometimes and tells your mom about his antics and shares pictures with her. It's also good to know how quickly Save a Yorkie got back to you and could have helped you. Sounds like they are a good organization. |

				 | Wow...what a great outcome. It sounds like a win, win situation. Your mom will still get to see Beau once in a while and it sounds like he got a good home as well. I think Save A Yorkie was probably just worried about Beau going to the right home....but it sounds like it all worked out for the best anyways. |
