You did the right thing! I would ignore the woman's claim of racism... There are crazies everywhere!

You already handles it the right way. Puppy Mill dogs are not show dogs. Sounds to me like this woman wanted something to show off. These babies need a home where someone has patience and time and lots of love. It can take years for the damage that has been done to them to start to unfold and leave them. The woman who wanted the Yorkies does not need a puppy mill dog that is a no brainer.
