| Go QUICKLY to the poster on here, Bebe8....she has an adult female that would do so much better with a momma that has undivided attention to shower on just her!! From her post on here, " I am at wits end with the girl and for about 4 months now I have been contemplating giving her up. What is making feel this way is my new work schedule. I work from home now so I think she thinks since mommy is home, it's to play/hang with her. I have them with me at all times at home so I have them in beds in my home office where I work from." There is a huge resentment building up between this owner and this baby girl....baby girl wants 110% of her mommas attention....and it is causing issues....this is something you may want to look at seriously....this baby girl needs someone that has just one dog so they can devote 110% of their time with this baby girl! |

| It's here: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...tening-me.html But that person is from Tampa. Not exactly in the NYC area. Dena, have you been looking on Petfinder as well? Are you putting in applications, or you just aren't "seeing" any dogs you like yet?

| Petfinder Yes, I have been looking on petfinder and others. Submitted many applications but there is such a demand. The closest I got was being accepted and the foster parent adopted her. |

| A lot of rescues post on Petfinder. It's Craigslist you need to be more careful on. There are lots of stolen dogs getting flipped on CL. Dena, you can also look at it the same as the foster who ended up adopting. Would you be willing to foster? Look into your local rescues and apply. If you don't get approved for fostering, you likely won't get approved for adoption either. Might be the way you are answering their questions. Anyway, I started fostering with the notion that I would never adopt my fosters. If I adopted them, I wouldn't have room to help save more. BUT never say never, bc I ended up adopting Toto. For about 5 or 6 years and several fosters, he is the only one that I even considered adopting. You will have some fosters that fit your lifestyle, and some that def won't. But usually you only have fosters for a few months, and rescues hardly ever give the tough cases to new foster homes. You have to really be experienced to foster the tough cases. It is really fulfilling to help place these dogs. When you find the right family, and the dog is a perfect match, it just makes you really happy inside. I still get Christmas cards from several of my families who've adopted my fosters.
