You can donate any amount to the Sponsor a Heart Fund starting at $1.00. This goes toward a pool to cover the adoption fees for the dogs that are the LONGEST STAY. This fund is especially effective in helping to find homes for dogs that are on the EUTH LIST. Previously, they only allowed for a Full $85.00 contribution, so this is a great new thing and I thank the LORD.
Half-Price Fund:
You can donate any amount starting at $1.00 to the HALF -PRICE FUND. . Once the shelter has enough money in this fund, they are able to offer a Half-Price special offer. The Half-Price program is very effective in helping to increase the adoptions.

Rescue Groups are allowed access to pull on Mondays.

Hi Debtay77, I have another thread for yorkies in need in California. If you live in southern CA there are many yorkies that end up in the city shelters around LA. Also there are lots of great yorkie rescues. A few of them have members here on YT, just keep asking questions and looking around. Thanks for wanting to rescue!

Anyone have room for this little yorkie boy? he is only 3.2 lbs of sweetness. I have been told he is about 5 yrs old. He has some kind of problem with one of his eyes, but it doesn't seem to bother him. I can't keep him for very long. He needs a forever home . His name is Beau. I rescued him today from a really bad situation. Is there anyone with room for this little guy in your heart and in your home?

Has this guy been saved? He's scary small, but I am comfortable with the bad eye issue if he needs a place to live.

Thanks for your interest in adopting. That little guy is with a rescue now and should be available soon. There are lots of yorkie rescues, you should look at some of the great dogs they have.

lol I have a nice pack now. I do some volunteer work with DAS and seem to take home the seniors that get overlooked. They know me there now.

I just didn't want him overlooked, if nothing else, a little guy with a bad eye would fit in with my incredible pack of misfits.
I love my tweaked perfection doggies.

If ever there comes a time when a little senior or less than perfect critter comes through, you're welcome to let me know. I'm partial to deaf dogs, BTW. ;) And, since I and my heart dog are both blind in one eye - that's not a bad thing here, either. Oh, crippled works, too. I have one of those, too.

Yup, I have two of my three vets' home and cell phone numbers - I even know where they live. I've gone to their holiday parties at home and everything.

hmm, I may spend too much time with my dogs.......

It so sad to see any dog in a shelter, buts so heartwarming to hear of good people that, are willing to adopt them.
