| Please read Yorkie looking for home! We *rescued* a yorkie four years ago in Ohio. His name is Henry. We've loved Henry and he loves us. But we have a 9 month old and it just is not working out. He has started growling at our son and you can tell that Henry is not happy sharing our house with him. We're at the point where we are afraid to leave them in the same room together. I think that there is probably a better home for him. Henry is a fun dog. He can sit, lay, roll over, stay, and come on command. He loves fetch and is good at catching things in mid air. He'll swim in a lake or river to retrieve a ball/stick and absolutely loves burying it in the sand. He cuddles at the foot of our bed, follows us from room to room, and never tires of love and affection. He enjoys car rides and walks, but isn't good at the dog park. (He has a couple of dogs that he is friends with, but in general he does not do well with other animals.) He definitely has a few other issues, especially with apprehension/aggression when meeting people for the first time, but with work and training he loves 20-25 of our friends and doesn't bark at them when they enter our home. I know he could learn to love you, too! Could you be his forever home? We're running out of options. Henry the Yorkie needs a home Last edited by dhurley52; 12-13-2012 at 09:42 PM. Donating YT 500 Club Member | I don't know any one from your area but good luck in finding your little Henry a home .... I'm real sorry that things won't work out with him and your family. Make sure to interview potential adopters extensively to make sure he goes to the best family possible! |

| Did you get him from a rescue ? if so, you need to return him to the rescue he came from. Have you tried calling some reputable Yorkie rescues as that would be Best for him as they do Vet , Home & yard checks & have a legal right to remove him from a home IF it's not working out there for him. |

This is most often written into their contracts, that if the pup has to be rehomed, you need to return him to the rescue you got him from. | |

| I hope you are able to find Henry a forever home. Make sure you interview potential homes and do vet checks. Is he neutered?

| Is this thread still alive? I have been away for so long but I am in Ohio and I will take him and surrender him to YTNR. They will find him a great home.
