Lynzy, my first foster was adopted by a lady that lived in Alaska. She flew into my local airport and met me. We got to spend a few hours together and even took Shelly to the park before she had to fly out. I think most rescues don't want to ship, but will allow them to be flown in cabin with their new owners.

I am so mad! Skully got returned AGAIN. Apparently he barked/'went all terrier' on the men in the family. He was fine with my Fiancee, I think Skully is jsut being a typyical terrier and pushing his limits to see where the rules are. These people didnt even call a trainer (which is FREE though the shelter) or even try to work with him at all. I thought this family was so perfect. Days like this make me re-evalutate my judgement skills and what I am supposed to do.

This is just sad that he was brought back a 2nd time. Myself being a Volunteer with a Rescue Group, there have been times I have questioned my judgement skills as well.
I do pray tis boy finds the perfect family, I know it is out there and it will happen.

@TXVicki- at least I know I helped find Luci the perfect home

It just makes me so frustrated when people adopt animals and then return them like 2 weeks (or sooner). Dogs need time to adjust. It was hard enough saying goodbye to him a second time. I did miss him a lot. Hopefully all will work out in the end.

Yes my Miss Luci is in the perfect home and she is the most perfect girl. Thank you so much.
I think at times people assume there should be no adjustment period and when a dog doesn't adjust right away they give up and don't want to try. That is what bothers me so much. It takes time and patience.

I also saw that there was another adorable Yorkie there as well. His name is Little Country and he is so cute.

Yeah Little Country is pretty cute, but something about Skully just stole my heart. We get in a lot of yorkie type dogs but he is the only one I've seriously contemplated taking home. He's the only one I have taken home

. I wonder if maybe I gave up too quickly too, I just wasnt convinced I was the best home for him and thats all I want for him. I need a magic 8 ball for my life decisions- lol.
