| Yes, demand for tiny dogs has been huge and created a huge market that puppy mills are taking advantage of. I'm sure this little guy must be a doll. Since a show breeder would most likely sell their best stock only to someone experienced in the show dog world this little guy was probably priced so high because of his size. I hope he finds a home with no small children or other dangerous situations. This breed can be very feisty and unknowing of how small they really are. My little girl seems to think she is a German Shepherd at times. |

| Hi Kerri- Thank you for reaching out to me. I've been meaning to contact you- I was given your name by another member yesterday. I visited your site yesterday evening- what a special group of people you are!!! I'm really between a rock and a hard place. George is an absolute prize- so loving, cute and trusting despite everything he has been through. He is just over 4 pounds and my Stella, who is another love, is 55 pounds. I'm just so afraid he might get hurt- I don't have any experience with toy breeds- I considered Stella small until I met George!!! She is super tolerant and recently seems to be taking to him- I'm just not sure it's the right thing to do. I'm struggling with the "what ifs". I also feel an obligation to his former owner to do the "right" thing- not sure what that is exactly. What do you think would be best for him? He is already so attached to us and we to him. I'd hate to have him move again but on the other hand I'll never forgive myself if Stella hurt him- which would be only because of size and play. There has been no aggression by either one, Stella has been an only child and seemed, until the last day or so to be beside herself. I wish I had a crystal ball.... |

| HI Amy I can only Imagine the stressful decision you have to make and I think its wonderful you took the time to read up on Yorkies and come to this site. I know Kerri and can assure you that placing him with yorkiesinc would be your best decision should you decide to part with him. The " happytails" on their website will show you just how much effort goes into placing surrendered pups! They are truly a bunch of amazing people and put so much effort into finding the " perfect" home, perhaps one with a little guy his size to be his friend .

| Hi there, Thank you so much for taking the little fellow into your life. If you look around the site, you will see many members have large dogs along with our little babies and they do just fine. I think it would be worth a try and see how he nests with your family... seems like it was meant to be he found your home

| Wow, you are an angel for taking George in. I'm glad you have decided that it would be best to find him another home. You just don't know what could happen with a large dog and a yorkie as small as George. I am also with a rescue, Yorkie Haven Rescue... and I recommend you speak with the people at Yorkies Inc. He would be in the best of hands and would find a forever home. Good luck. You are doing a great thing for George

| Hi everyone- here is an update.. George and Stella are getting on famously. They sleeep on the couch together and have started to play just a bit. Stella dives on the floor with her fannie up in the air (tail wagging like crazy) and George sniffs her face and then runs laps around her, sometimes as many as 25 times. Still watching them like a hawk but all seems to be going well. George also started working with me- he did so well!!! Helped one person I treat smile for the first time in almost a year!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
