This is true! I used to live in Jacksonville, I had to drive to GA to get Ralph, if you live in Jacksonville you may have been to the dog boutique I used to work at!

Lizzie is an awesome little dog, honestly I am surprised she is still there. She is a favorite of mine. I think I have a picture on my phone of Lizzie with a volunteer, if I do I will post it.

APR always seems to have a Yorkie and I encourage people who want one to check them out first.

As I posted earlier they get a lot of great little dogs (and some cool big ones also). The people who run this rescue are so dedicated to the animals, they are the first priority (as they should be).

Yea, my mom wanted to get a rescue, if i could i would get lizzie for myself, but i am in place to get anther dog! haha! But I just want to talk it over with my mom, i would hate to just randomly get her a dog and shes not ready for it. So i am praying shes ready

Someone who works at APR asked me yesterday if I wanted to adopt Lizzie...so tempting I love her so much.

We decided next to wait another week to see if she finds the perfect home. I am traveling this week for work to Las Vegas and it would not be good to adopt her only to leave.

I know some of you have expressed an interest in Lizzie and I do not want adopt her if you all seriously are considering her.

Also would appreciate some imput about adopting a "senior", Lizzie is 8 years old and Sophie Kate is 4 and very different personalities. Do I stand a chance of them getting along? Lizzie needs another dog to be with her but Sophie Kate has always been an only dog.

Sadly the shelter here also gets quite a few small dogs - especially yorkies and chihuahuas . I wish I could save/foster more but I've got 6 of my own now plus 2 fosters - wouldn't be fair to take on any more! But when some of my seniors cross the rainbow bridge and/or my fosters get adopted, I plan to offer myself as a foster for any yorkie at the shelter that needs out!
