| Yorkies-adults and puppies need a home! I hope I am posting this in the correct place and doing this right. If not please help me out. My husband just called and a friend of his took him to see a neighbor's Yorkie's. He has been trying to breed them but doesn't know what he's doing. He has adults and pups, outside in the Texas heat. He's even been spraying them with yard spray for fleas. He's old and doesn't seem to know any better. He's sick and she has talked him out of 3 puppies and he may give her more of the dogs. His wife wants him to get rid of all of them. There are 14 in all. My husband and I have 2 Yorkie's already which is the legal limit in our area and the lady that's rescuing them can't have any more dogs, but we can't leave these poor babies in this horrible place. I've called all the no kill shelters in the corpus Christ, TX area and they say they are all full. Can anyone help? Does anyone know someone in the Corpus Christi, TX area that does rescues? If not we could help out with transport. I'm not sure what kind of medical care these pups might need but we are not well off. We will do what we can to get these dogs help if someone is willing to give one or more good homes or take them into a rescue. Any help is appreciated. |

| I just got some more info on the 3. They are not puppies but older females. One is 10 years and the other 2 are 8 years. They have spent all their lives outside without much human interaction and are not spayed. They have loving personalities but will need attention since they haven't been well socialized. They all weigh less than 10 lbs. I'm trying to get photos. |

| Have you contacted the Humane Society in Corpus Christi? They might help with the three that they let go. To be perfectly honest, if these people do not turn all of these pups over to someone, they should be reported to Animal Control.

We do not have any foster space at this time. I am going to contact someone I know in Corpus to see if she might have ideas.

| I just hate hearing about things like this happening. It makes me so sad for the pups involved. Hoping you can find someone to help out.

| OP....I have not heard back from my friend yet; but I just thought of another group that might be able to help. Chris's Rescue Angels I believe they have members in either Austin or SA. Their website is: Chris' Rescue Angels - Home They have a Contact Us button with their email.

Ladyjane, That is exactly what we intend to do. We are working to try to get the man to surrender the dogs on his own if possible. He really wants to but is having a hard time deciding. We are in a position where if we push him too hard we could end up having the lady that got the first 3 dogs away from him put out of her home because she is renting from him. We are getting a third person to go over to act as though looking at a puppy who will then take the blame for turning him in if it comes to it. I have spent the last few hours learning how to reduce the size of pics to post them on here so I will post the 3 females picture. They are just precious and in need of a home so badly. I would take all three if I could, but we just can't. I am doing everything I can to find them GOOD homes, though. They deserve lots of lovin. And thank you for your help. I can't tell you how much it means. | |
