HOW could anybody let one get in that shape? Didn't they own a pair of sissors? It would have been better to cut it short & choppy than let him sufer with those tangles...POOR BABY. Hope he finds a home soon...

They can get that way quickly if they are out in the streets!

I called them this morning. They said he just became available. I called my state director to see if she has anyone closer to get him. I am about an hour away from the shelter. It'll be hard for me to get over there before they close. Hoping she will call me back soon.

He's not in immediate danger of being put down, that I made sure of and asked them. He just became available today, so even though he's been at the shelter a few days, he probably just got his neuter done.

I have to wait to get a response from my state director, otherwise if I just go and get him, he will be mine and not in foster care.

I hope that they don't leave this poor thing sitting in the shelter much longer. Each day exposes them to illness and stresses them.

I called the shelter again, and he has been adopted. I don't know if rescue got him or a private party, but I will try to speak with my state director again later. If he went to a private home I just hope they will treat him well.

Thanks for the update. Hopefully your director can get some more specific information about him.
