Well....what needs to be said again (I have said it before) is that I am not unique. There are many, many foster homes that are doing just what I am doing. You just don't see them! You see me because I am here and posting updates about some of the pups that I have. Additionally, there are so many people of like mind....just look at all of us. Each of you does have a part of me in you and I have a part of you in me ....we all have the same goal and that is to help the little pups who cannot help themselves. Whether we pray, foster, shop, or donate .... or whatever we do to help them! Not everyone can foster. It takes so much more. No rescue group can survive to help the pups without the support of people just like all of you. That is why, on the donor page, that YHR says that donors are rescuers...it is so true! Some people cannot afford to donate....they send emails, they pray....they support in the way that they can! Some of them choose to shop using our links...everyone has to shop at some point. Using our links helps the pups. So, that is why I find it embarrassing.....I don't want to minimize what I do because yes, I do totally love the pups and have dedicated myself and my retirement to helping them; but I am certainly not the only person doing it! To me, the most important thing in the scope of all of this letting people see the precious gems that get dumped on a daily basis. Many people think that pups in shelters are damaged goods and that kills me. I have had nothing but rescues as pets and each of them has been/is very, very special. When I take them out and people meet them, they are often shocked to hear that they were rescued.....it is a message that needs to be told over and over and over again....the pups discarded by people who should never have had them in the first place are not damaged....the people who did not appreciate them are. |
So now I am late for work, but I just found this thread this morning and I had to read it all the way through. Wow....I am go relieved to hear that things are going well for little Gabby. What a rough time she has had of it, but she is one lucky pup to have found her way to you. I am in awe of all the good you do for these pups...what a sad world it would be without people like you in it. I think of all the goodness that you provide for these unfortunate souls and it is just inspiring. My prayers are with you and Gabby, Matty and all your pups. Let the "others" say what they may....there are always those types out there....you know who you are and we know you are wonderful...and so do your pups ;) I think it is time I visit your YHR site :) |

Linda deserves all the high 5's in the world, along with all the other great folks that rescue and do it for the dogs....the dogs. |

Oh good, maybe I have seen some post addressed to her on here as Linda. Thank God I am not losing my mind yet! Always glad to hear of little Gabby and the wonderful things Linda Lady Jane is doing for her. |

Linda Lady Jane...sounds like 3 different people, but all terrific! :D Actually, more like British Royalty |
I wish! Just think of all the pups that could be saved with that kind of money!! :) |
Just one of the royal family crowns would change the lives of thousands and thousands of dogs. |
