Gabby is doing well. I visited with her this morning! I was a bit upset by the telephone call I received this morning but it turned out it was just a matter of words. The vet who was covering said that Gabby was "worse" today. No amount of explaining was working after that. What he was referring to was the fact that she cannot stand or walk and that was expected; but hearing that word, "worse" just upset me SO much. He also said she had not eaten well and seemed agitated. I decided to just go there and see her for myself. I took her some food. She was a bit shaky when she first came in, but settled down right away....and she ate quite a bit of the food I brought her! I definitely felt better ... and I am sure the visit helped her. :) He told me that he doubts she will be discharged tomorrow...but I have a feeling her surgeon, who will be there tomorrow, might go ahead and discharge her. I hope so. |
