I love this breed so much and it breaks my heart to see these poor things in this state. This coming from a place that shows dogs is just disgusting in my eyes. These people belonging to a kennel club and out there showing dogs, yet behind closed doors these poor babies are standing in there own feces in these medical conditions:mad:. This is my first rescue of this nature and it has opened my eyes more than anyone could know. I always assumed that if you were in a kennel club and showing dogs, nice sounding and sincere sounding, that your heart was in the right place...shame on me. I was naive and trusting, as these poor dogs were once. Yet as neglected as they have been ( no teeth and eating dry kibble to survive!!:() they have hearts of gold. They have sweet personalities and just want to be loved. I know I have learned so much from them in less than 24 hours. I wish I had the room and funds to keep every one, but I know there is a person out there just waiting for each one. I hope the rescues will update me when that match happens as they have a permanent place in my heart now. These dogs are the ones that deserve the praise and the kudos for surviving this with their spirits still intact. I know I would not fair so well....

are you saying these dogs are from a show kennel?

Could you please provide a summary of
1) Where are the dogs now?
2) Where do they need to go?
3) When do they need to go?

I have family on Long Island that might be able to help transport. Please let me know where/when and I'll see if they can help out.

I too will never forget the feeling I had either of learning all about this world of greed and torture after I walked out of a petstore 10 years ago with two yorkies, one very sick from the very first day. I am assuming that you will be forever changed by your experience. Congratulations for speaking up about this kennel club. Advocacy is hard work but it is better to stand up for what you believe in than to stand in the background, even if your views are unpopular...

You are correct that it takes a lot to break the spirit of a dog. How anyone could be mean to an animal I'll never understand.

I too hope that these four girls find a rescue that can take them in, and to that end, I am still available to help with transport - I'm in Providence. If things are firmed up let me know if I can help in that regard.

Yup that is what I am saying...sad but true

The dogs are here in Maine with me as of last night when they were dropped off.
They need to get to NJ and I will be coming down to Fitchburg, MA tomorrow am with them at this point. The local humane society could take them here but that would be my last resort. They are not a kill shelter and only put down the sickest animals. I know that Yorkies, Inc. is in dire need of foster homes in the Mass area to help with this effort.

I am trying to help by looking up rescues in the area and contacting them, but I am so unsure of what is happening now.

Can someone please update me? So when they conact me back I know what I am asking for?

Yorkies Inc is going to take all six of the dogs....we cannot possibly let them end up in a shelter (even a no-kill one)... Thank you Tammy so much for getting them and doing all that you have.

Susan Dodge from Clover Hill Yorkies said that she can house the two females that are in heat for the next two weeks which will give us a chance to vet the other 4...as long as Tammy can drop the two of them off to her on her way to Fitchburg we should be all set.... Thank you Susan...as I know you have your own pups to care for....

We are in contact with Tammy to work out all the details.... to see what is the best situation for all the dogs... and to make sure it is a smooth transition for everyone...

O.K. so am I right to assume you don't need me to transport anyone...only because I am leaving early in the A.M. for Freeport, ME. and just wanted to make sure you were all set. You all have done a great job.....thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping save these pups.

Just wanted to send a quick up-date. Yorkies Inc has all the dogs and they are doing great...they are so sweet and lovable.... they just cannot get enough love and attention. I can see why Tammy was up with them all night loving them.

They are all going to the vets on Monday for exams, full blood work, and heartworm tests. Then over the next two weeks (for those that can) they will be getting neutered/spayed and dentals. We are also making eye appointments with a specialist for two of the females...one has a cataract and the other might have dry eye (or something). One female sounds a little congested so we are also going to be doing a chest x-ray on her on Monday too....

Thank you Tammy for getting these pups to us...it was great to meet you today.
