This is beyond heart breaking... Petfinder Adoptable Dog | Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie | Commerce, MI | CELINE-HELP! ALMOST STARVED TO DEATH! Celine, an 18 month old, 3 pound yorkie, had been left in the care of a 9 year old child since her purchase at a pet store. She is starving, dehydrated and severely anemic- never let out of the child's room, and possibly kept in a box most of that time. A Good Samaritan neighbour got her out of there and surrendered her to RetroDoggyRescue for treatment. Celine has been admitted to Wilson't Veterinary Hospital in Washington Twp, MI and needs a blood transfusion for her severe anemia. Hopefully, the blood transfusion, IV fluids and antibiotics will be enough to save her. Please call Wilson't Vet Hospital and make a direct donation to the RDR/Celine Fund. Current estimate for treatment is $750 to $1500. |
Please watch the video in the petfinder link!!!! |
Oh dear God. That poor little puppy! :cry8::cry8: Why would someone spend all that money to buy from a petstore and then leave a child to take care of the animal? To never allow it out of the bedroom or even make sure it's being fed? Bless that neighbor for stepping in. I pray this little one makes it. |

People are stupid and ignorant! It's just amazing the lack of common sense that some people have. :thumbdown |
Oh, that poor sweet little girl!! I am so glad someone stepped in to help in this situation...and I hope charges will be pressed against the owners. So sad near the end of the video when she's all cleaned up and laying on the table, she looks like she doesn't even have the energy to lift her head. :( |

I don't and will never understand these parents who buys their young kids puppy as a toy. Puppies are not stuffed animal! |
That makes me so mad! How in the world could the parents do this to the poor dog? yes, i say the parents cause the child sure wasn't responsible and it should have been their responsiblity not the child's. They need to have the same thing done to them and see how it feels to be so neglected! |

The link is going to the same page as the other was. Just to the right of where her picture would be it says Read More About This Pet. Click on that and then scroll down a little. |
Poor Little Yorkie OMG, what a terrible thing to happen to the poor little furchild. Thank God some kind soul rescued the little one from the dreadful home. Wouldn't this amount to animal cruelty and require prosecution????? These 'owners' should be punished severely for keeping the poor little mite in such bad conditions. I do pray that the treatment makes the furbabe better and that a wonderful caring home is found soon. I am so angry at the 'owners' and feel so bad for the Yorkie, such a sweet little baby. |

I have to say that when I brought Truman home his body looked the EXACT same way! Every bone was protruding from his body. It just brought back all the memories of when he was first here with us. As for the 9 yr old that kept the dog in a box~I have a 9 yr old neice and she would have enough sense to not let an animal starve to death.:mad::mad::mad: |

SHE looks minutes from death! OMG! What the h3!! kind of animals have a child that is allowed to keep a puppy in a frigging box! That is disgusting, sick, twisted and inhumane. The parents should be charge with Animal abuse and also child neglect. If that poor little pup was not let out of the child's room for years could you even imagine the neglected mess the bedroom was in and the smell! I just can't even wrap my brain around this entire situations. These people must have been PIGS to allow this to happen. *breathing deeply* Was there any update or when this poor little girl was surrendered? How is she doing now? Has she improved from the horrible neglect that she was forced to live with all that time? I hope and pray that she is now on her way to recovery and a happy life away. |
How sad. Makes me just hate people. |
I am just in tears watching that poor baby, how she must have suffered. What the hell is wrong with people!? |
The video will bring you to tears. :( That is so sad! How could a parent allow that to happen? Even a 9 year old as someone else said, should know better! They probably had it for over a year, in a box in the girl's room? So hard to believe what people will do! Cuddling my little Annie, thinking that someone else could have gotten her and done something like that! Well, no -- that would not have happened. I bought from a breeder that would check out the new owner and then follow up on the pup!! |
OMG.............how HORRIBLE!! I can't even type....I'm just bawling here!!! Zhoie is trying to kiss all over my face, she knows something way wrong. Which makes me bawl that much harder....just to think of that poor little baby. Knowing she's not had the love and care we all give to our little ones.....is just so damn sad!!!! |

Celine is at the emergency hospital, yesterday got the blood transfusion, she is "holding" on - Thank God, but it's by a thin string....and if she makes it, it's gonna be a long, long recovery - poor baby.... ------------------------------------------------------------ Rescues are struggling right now, so if anyone has a $1 or $2 to spare, consider helping Celine :) :animal-pa ------------------------------------------------------------ |
That was just awful to see. How could they do this to a little pup. It is the parent's fault plain and simple. Thank Goodness for a neighbour with conscience. This is animal cruelty and I hope that they can be reported to the local SPCA |
I hope this little girl makes it:animal-pa |
The video was unbearable to watch. No 9 yr old should have that type of responsibility placed upon them without supervision. You allow a child to have a pet to teach responsibility. The woman who rescued her was an angel sent by God. I do hope little precious girl makes a complete turn around and is adopted by a family that will love her so much all she knows is happiness. |
i swear to god the parents of that child had better get fined big time for what happened to that little puppy!!!:mad::mad: This just makes me sick. did you see that giant hole in her inner thigh???? OMG its just awful. Thank god that neighbor got to the puppy and brought it to a rescue. i'm so mad right now. Those people are lucky as hell that i don't live out anywhere near them or i'd be on their door step with a giant box and some duct tape... |

It will likely be not more than 90 days or $200 or both. That is the penalty for one county here.:mad::mad: |
The parents are idiots. Not every (perhaps any) 9 year old child is ready for TOTAL responsibility of a pet without any supervision. The parents would appear to be guilty of animal cruelty. You just can't cure stupid. |
This little one is in good hands now. I pray she does well. More than charging her previous owners legally, someone should contact the local TV and encourage them to do a story on the consequences of irresponsible pet ownership. At least some good can come out of this if it makes at least one person think twice about a getting a pet they really cannot afford to have. I have little Tiny from West Virginia. Her owners suffered no consequences to what they did to her. As I said before, God will speak for her and God will speak for this little one too. |
This is unbelievable and I hope the owners are prosecuted. I can't imagine! 18 months for that poor, helpless baby to live like that. What is wrong with people? How could anyone do this? I'm so glad that baby is out of there and in loving and caring arms. I hope and pray she does well! |
Heartbreaking!! :( |
