| Puppy Mill Adult F needs home in MS I got a phone call yesterday from a friend of mine asking if I would take a female Yorkie. She had no information except to say that she was right at 5 years old. My friend was 3 hours away picking up a Yorkie puppy from another breeder and that breeder had been given the poor thing the day before.. Yes, I am confused as well! I guess I make the 4th person in 2 days to get this poor girl. She is 5 years old. Comes from a Puppy Mill, she has never seen a house ( though she loved my daughters bed right away) She doesn't know what to do with people. Though when I came in her room this morning she jumped up and wagged her tail. But I came to her and she just held still. She didn't shake or growl or anything she just held still and let me pet her but stopped wagging her tail... she needs a forever home and a lot of love. I took her to the vet this morning for a 5 in 1 vaccine and de-wormer. She seems healthy. She does have a umbilical hernia but it is soft and the vet said it can be taken care of when she is spayed. I don't have the funds to do blood work or to have her spayed. I am asking for 50$ to help cover her visit. I wish I could have it all done myself but we have taken 4 medically fragile dogs in the last few months. One needed to have all it's teeth pulled, another had demodex. I would just like to find this sweet girl a home. I asked her name and was told she did not have one. I am hoping someone out there wants to give her one for the first time in 5 years. Please email for pictures. I took a bunch of her last night. Cheyene67@hotmail.com or call me at 228-222-7362 We are in Gulfport, MS |

| I really feel bad for her. She has a lot of flea dirt and she has earmites she is being treated for. They shaved her head but not her body and its NOT a good hair cut. I think tomorrow I am going to get out my clippers and shave her body. I will see her skin better that way and it can all grow back at the same time. I don't know that we are going to name her. I think that should be saved for he forever home. Here is a picture of her. |

| Please do not turn her over to someone without getting her spayed. Have you considered turning her over to a rescue? She could then get spayed before being placed. If you do not want to turn her over to rescue, I strongly suggest that you check people out who are interested in her. Ask them for their vet's name and check to see that they fully vet their pets. I would also stipulate that they must pay for the spay at your vet prior to getting her!

Oh, trust me, I totally understand about vetting costs. Bottom line, you took this pup in and I realize it is difficult, but you just have to make sure she is safe and in good hands. She could easily end up in a mill again. I am not euthanasia happy, but would rather a pup be pts than to go through that hell. If you PM me, I can try to help you out with rescue placement.

| I am trying Yorkie Friends Rescue at the moment. And a few other places. I hate to sound this way but her only hope is that she is a yorkie. If she were another breed like the Rat Terrier we had a few months back NO ONE would take her. We tried every non breed specific rescue 2 " retirement homes " and also rat bone rescue. Specifically for the RT. I think all dogs deserve a chance. Young, old, Big, small Yorkie or not. I guess I'm still a little upset by my last few encounters with rescues. |

| I agree, $50 bucks for a unspayed female that came from a Mill 'might' entice another Mill or BYB. Please work wth LJ in finding a Yorkie Rescue for her, they will get her spayed first |

I would really rather her go to another rescue who has the money to get her spayed and who can treat any other issues she might have. I only want whats best for her. I do not want her in a shelter type place. She needs to be in a home. | |

| LJ will help you find the best place for your little girl. You are doing a good thing by enlisting her help. All of the worries you have will be put to rest about her vetting and foster care, she knows some great foster homes
