She did say that was for 2 months. Yes, it varies across the country. About 2-3 years ago BGE doubled our rates so ours went from $200 up to $400 per month. Now that they've all gotten rich, they're talking about reducing it. Ha!

Haven't read enough yet to see where the issue of her electric bill came into the picture but, they can get quite high due to climate (not likely in WA) or simply because one has a past due balance...hmmm, I'm inclined to believe the latter.

As for Mindy...not sure if she's still here on earth anymore but, I agree with LJ that that might be the better of the alternatives if it means staying another minute with someone like this.

If Mindy is still here to be rescued, and the cost of transportation is truly the only issue then, I think there are at least TEN of us here on YT who could kick in $30 each and get this lil' girl the h@ll out of WA...what do you think?

Count me in for the first $30...

I think Mommadog1 mentioned pay her $400 electric bill or pay to have Mindy shipped. If anyone understands living on a budget, it's me. Even though my heart aches for all the abandoned and rejected pups, I'm putting my desire to foster on hold for now. It wouldn't be fair to them to bring them into my current living situation.

I just got an email from Karla and it sounds like Mindy is still alive. I've told her that we want to continue to try to help and am waiting on her reply.

Wow. Judgement (instead of sincere, kind and effective help) to be passed around yet again! What does her power bill have to do with this?? And not only are these comments harshly judging her efforts to find care for this dog but now people are judging whether or not her power bill is appropriate? So random! As many of you I'm sure know, unfortunately Karla is no longer a member of YT but rest assured mindy is getting the help she needs and Karla and others are continuing to work tirelessly to find a rescue who will take mindy...

Admin...looks like another thread that should be closed and another member who has gone to find help elsewhere...sad.

Why are you even posting? All you do is stir the pot! I've been working with Karla for days now and I have had a backup plan all along and Karla knew about it as well. What do you PERSONALLY ever do beside hand out your email and phone number like the YT psychologist/welcome wagon? You messed around behind the scenes with Roriee's surrender (which is a fact) and now you are doing the same here! WHY? What is your satisfaction in all of this? Hmmmm~not like we don't have the same friends over on Facebook where you have been bashing YT ADMIN and "the mods" on everyone profile pages. Seriously--what is your purpose? Unless you plan on ponying up the cash to ship Mindy or have a rescue all lined up to help then I suggest that you point your fingers elsewhere.

At this point I give up! Maryeverette1 can hand this situation as obviously she is more capable! I suggest that everyone email or call Mary directly since her phone number and email address has been posted by her all over Facebook and YorkieTalk with her very generous and sincere offers of a shoulder to lean or and a great ear to listen I do not need all of this stupid drama in my life! This is the most ridiculous thing that I have EVER been subjected to and will no longer leave myself open to this BS!

No personal email from Karla. I've been told that "other" that care are willing to help her. It's obvious from the post that this is who cares about Mindy more then we do and is now "helping" the situation. I've also been told that Linda and I am going to be slapped with a liable suit! So I'm done!
